Motherboard
na
CPU
i7 4770k
Graphics
gtx 760
hi im looking to do a dual system setup in a evolv x case and was wondering if my old computer parts would work for the hackintosh portion of the dual system (main system wold by a powerful pc but always wanted to do a mackintosh so might as well convert my old comp into the mackintosh specially if my new case supports dual system setup )

from what ive search online my cpu i7 4770k should work fine?
- will this support the latest version of mac OS X ? (10.15)
recommendation on a good mini ITX mother board that will work with this chipset and also somewhat future proof if possible
- possible to have type c on mother board ?
- m2 memory ?
from my understanding i will have to buy a new wifi chip to put into majority of boards on the market for wifi / bluetooth to work with OS X ?
- if so what is a great chip to put into the board?
does ram really matter or majority of ram is supported ?
and will my nvidia shield gtx 760 work fine ?

will iCloud servises / iMessage / handoff / act work ?

please help im a bit of a noob with hackntoshes but always wanted to do one

im going to be running a duel modular psu and also need a low profile heat sink if not then ill have to go liquid cooled for both cpu

4770k is old chip will not work with new board and is long past the point of Future Proof.

A board with USB-C onboard will not support your 4770k CPU

A board with M.2 SSD will not support your 4770k CPU

Most boards with onboard wifi does not work with Mac OS you need a Broadcom chip or a PCIE card most people use fenvi.

Most ram is fine and is supported by most mother boards.

Not sure if that Nvidia card works with MacOS.

Look at some of the Golden builds in the Golden Builds subform that will help you to see what you need.

(1) The i7 4770K should work with MacOS up to the latest Catalina.
(2) Motherboards that support the 4770K are old and phased out, and don't have USB-C as USB-C is a quite recent addition to the hardware scene.
(3) Likewise it is most likely those motherboards don't have M.2 slots onboard. But that does not mean you cannot use M.2 SSDs since there are cards like the Silverstone ECM20 that allows the use of such SSDs.
(4) The GTX 760 is natively supported on MacOS up to the latest Catalina.

okay so from what i can see your right type c is not gonna happen however what do you think about this mother board ?
looks like it supports my old cpu and also has m.2 ?? would this work for mackintosh ? or would it me more complicated than normal?

Yes, it seems that the Maximus VII Impact does have M.2 support via a provided expansion card.

It should be compatible with MacOS from Yosemite (10.10) up to and including Catalina (10.15) if you plan to use your GTX 760. Do not expect to be free of problems when trying to install and run MacOS, though. You have to deal with problems as they arise.

Your GTX 760 is still supported as Apple used Nvidia GPUs back in 2012/2013. However, Apple has since switched to using AMD GPUs in its Macs, which means that current Nvidia GPUs (RTX 20x0 / GTX 16x0 / GTX 10x0) are not supported on MacOS Mojave and Catalina since Nvidia no longer provides drivers.
