The everything works Asus Z390-I Gaming * i7-8700K * SAPPHIRE NITRO+ Radeon RX Vega 64 Build

question: do I check Hackintosh tool before or after swapping out the EFI?

I did before and after, and my Hackintosh tool does not show indexes of -1. Not sure what to do to make the index look likes yours.

The EFI you provided did not work. I got to the selection where I chose the boot drive, selected macOS Catalina. The theme switched first to a honeycomb (the 1st time) and black crumpled paper (2nd time), and after 10-30 seconds my displays went to sleep and my mac did not load into Catalina. I had to boot into Catalina using my installation USB.

There was a boot argument that may have caused you an issue. Try this one.

Look what just showed up, Amazon Warehouse deal. The description said missing manual, driver cd and the packaging was damaged. Its pristine, none of the accessories or cables opened and the manual and driver cd were included as well. Swear it looks like the box was opened and that's it....we will see tomorrow if it gives me grief. Should be the big brother to the i model. $130 delivered

Some great deals out there, getting deliveries nearly every day. Finally got my Singularity Computers Protium Reservoir and PWM water pump but I didn't measure properly and had to order a taller reservoir. Bending kit is here but still waiting on fittings, tubing, and a Vega 64 water block. Water block is a huge waste of money but it’s the only way I can make the card thinner so I can install reservoir combo.

Aliexpress is on a tear and overcharging on shipping. A $4.00 fitting has a $6.00 shipping fee and they refuse to to consolidate 6 fittings into 1 shipment. Totally crazy.

After

Also in OC - system locks up at apple logo if I erase the brcm* files. (my card is native I don't need them)

Leave them in, if they don’t affect your wifi card. If you absolutely need to delete them, boot with them in and then remove the entries from your OC plist. If you just delete the kexts, the OC entries will look for them and crash when it doesn’t find them.

And shipping is taking a lot longer than usual...

Didn't work
Tried the latest DGPU-EFI and same problem. After selecting the macOS Catalina, shortly after the monitor powers down and I don't get into the OS.

I turned on verbose for this one, can you copy to a FAT32 formatted USB stick, boot from it, take a picture of the screen where it hangs, then post it here so I can check where it is having issues?

Can you please try this Clover EFI? I fixed 2 issues:
  1. I fixed Apple RTC so we should no longer get Post error. I rebooted 5 times with no error but not sure as it doesn't always happen. I suspect that Clover 5112 added the patch to Apple RTC option.
  2. Minor fix to GUI so progress bar is back, that was a little disconcerting!
I did NOT include the agdpmod=pikera because I installed the RadeonBoost.kext. If you can't boot, add the agdpmod=pikera argument and try again. If you still can't boot, erase the RadeonBoost.kext in the Efi kext directory.

Be sure to clear NVRAM on first boot attempt using F11 at clover boot screen. You may need to use FN +F11 depending on your keyboard.

Let me know how it works out, I would like to update my clover EFIs.

Thanks!
