Hi Scopia,
I think X99 it's quite too old for that card,
I'm not sure but in my opinion it's better to spend less money on any other cheap M.2 adapter than ASUS Hyper
which in my opinion will not have support on your mb, especially when you have almost half of our PCIE lines avalieble ;)
but once you change mb on X299 you will be able to expand your storage like a king ;P
Have a nice day!

Is the X299 best mb around or is there another mb with more PCIE lines ? PCIE lines depends on mb or on the processor? If I upgrade X99 to a mb for AMD which mb should you advise ?
Thanks

is this possible to run with
ASUS Hyper M2 X16 NVMe and AMD Ryzen MSI B550 Gaming plus

In my experience, the Hyper M2 requires 4 pcie lanes for each NVme drive you want to install, so let's count on the 28 pcie lanes of the B550 chipset that can remain : 8 ( minimum) for your GPU so you should install 4 NVMe SSDs on Hyper M2 in theory.

i got only 3 ;) ... should i just follow the Guides ?
There are for Intels ... :(
Got open Core

SSDT can be adapted for X570 according to your IOReg but you can just add device properties on OPenCore config.plist

i use open core and update it with proper tree, got a B550 this SSDT must be update on SSDT from the mainboard ?

Or change the devices on the config.plist
i will try if the devices arrvied :D

I installed the Asus Hyper M.2 x16 Card V2, with 2 x Western Digital 500gb NVMEs. (I use Asus X99-S running Catalina with Opencore)

When I booted up, OSX said to initialise the new NVMe. Unfortunately it only recognised one of the NVMEs. I changed the PCIe slot. It then recognised the other NVME. (Different PCIe slots seem to route to different NVMe slots) I haven't thoroughly tested all NVME slots. A few things I'm not sure about: CPU 5820k has 24 lanes - I guess I am using 16 lanes for the Graphics Card, I have another PCIe card (firewire adapter) maybe this uses 4 lanes? So perhaps that only leaves me 4 lanes remaining. Shouldn't the motherboard automatically change the lanes when more PCIe are populated - so GPU becomes 8 lanes. Manual shows a configuration of 8/8/8 lanes..

I've checked Bios settings - I can not find anything that helps. At Bios boot level - UEFI only sees one NVME.

But to make things stranger, running terminal command in OSX: diskutil list
This seems to show the other NVMe!

Can any one help with the patching and SSDT for Opencore?
