5002, 5007 is really quick.
You mean 5102 and 5107 right ? Also what kind of rodent is that in your new Avatar ? The one with star shaped glasses.

Yes that's what I meant 5102 and 5107. Sorry. It’s a Banksy Rat from his Exit through the gift shop exhibition, Bristol UK. It’s on the back of my 2010 MBP.

What a year this 2020 "year of the rat" is turning out to be. The world turned upside down and shaken.

Wondering if this will work on my board, currently looking through the Network Forum to see if anyone else has this. It's currently installed in a Dell Inspirion 2020 AIO. The antenna are attached to a little metal box filled with foam and it just sticks in place to the Faraday Cage. If this fits, via an adapter or otherwise I can release my PSIe x1 slot.

Pretty sure it's not supported in Catalina. It's an Atheros card and not Broadcom. Might be some workarounds to try. Look for the Atheros40 kext and try that out in kexts/other folder. I think these did work with Mavericks through El Capitan so....

After checking the Mini WiFi card from the Inspirion 2020 and the M.2 2230 (Intel CNVi WiFi) slot on the motherboard, it was clear it wasn't going to fit. Further reading from across the internet confirmed my doubts, CNVi WiFi isn't working with Hackintosh. I checked some threads in the Network Forum and came across this solution by KevinAgnes in the Broadcom WiFi/Bluetooth [Guide}. Using M.2-KEYM to M.2 KEYA+E adapter / M.2 KEYA+E to Mac WLAN / BCM94360CS2. Useful as I have a spare M.2 slot but expensive!. I'm watching this thread, [Success] WORKING Intel Wifi Drivers for 7265AC on Catalina for WiFi and Bluetooth developments.

It's not quite Sidecar more like a big Touch Bar, there are some Apps out there that can do just as well. I'm not going to endorse anybody but this particular App is pretty awesome. I'm connected via USB, you can get wireless but you have to pay a subscription. Wired is fine for me and most importantly it works with a 1st generation iPad mini. I do have a pencil but not Apples, I own a 53 pencil, it works with my 2010 MBP, I can use the pencil on the iPad screen and its mirrored to the main screen. As of yet I haven't got the pencil to work with the G5...yet. Stuff I love, "iPad Touch Bar", a context sensitive bar, I guess it's similar to the ones on a MBP. I'm writing this Post with the help of a bar like you get in Messages on the iPhone, predictive text!. When Mirroring the display you can't control the cursor with you finger unfortunately. When used as a second screen it's good at using Apps and easy to use with a mouse. So pretty much a large Touch Bar for Hackintosh.
It’s also just occurred to me, I can’t control the cursor on the desktop with my finger or 53 pencil, because it doesn’t have a touchpad, but my 2010 MBP does.

Some Touch Bar Apps, oops! I have to take Messages, Facetime and Handoff away from 'What Works" in post #1, I'll work on that!. Using my iPhone SE as a Touch Bar for my Hackintosh this time. I love that when you click in a text field the Predictive Text bar comes up, this happens in Safari and you could use it to write mail.

Safari also displays different tabs in the Touch Bar.

Pixelmator displays sliders for color and brush size and other things.

As does Sketchbook. My iPhone makes a pretty good Touch Bar!.

Planning on blinging out the G5 by 3D Printing a new heat shield, this will have to be done in four parts and fixed together because of 120mm x 120mm x 120mm print area. Using Affinity Designer I traced the 'G5' and exported in png, then converted to SVG using online image conversion and then imported into TinkerCad, (For some reason Tinker doesn't like importing SVG created by Affinity Designer). The font is semi bold Gill, but the 5 is semi bold italic and appears to be extended. I wanted to be able to see inside and have the light from the RGB RAM highlight the G5. I don't really want to cut the original shield so I'm going to print a new one.

What better way to test a new build than to hand that responsibility to a 6yr Old!. For the past few weeks since finishing this, said 6yr Old has been playing games on it, mostly Beam NG, Garrys Mod, Sinking Boat, yes, thats a game now!. The one thing these games have in common is that their core or engine is physics based!. Lots of intensive calculations keeping 6yr Occupied and me sane. I may of had the opportunity to play Destiny 2 or Overwatch for at least an hour or two every couple of days. And I'm still blown away at how good everything looks thanks to the RX 570. I'm also assuming Physics based games can be frustrating judging by the reaction of 6yr Old occasionally. Mice get thrown, keyboards thumped, G5 case kicked and power buttons pressed. But, despite the abuse the G5 receives., every morning when I want to sit down in front of the Mac with a cup of coffee, it just works. macOS is just fast, and it can handle large 3D objects. I built a machine that has exceeded my expectations, and all thanks to tonymacx86 and the good community here.
