Please elaborate... As I recall there were some problems with an investing website whereby a window or pane would not expand to the full size of the monitor. Is that problem still happening?

I am still on Catalina Version 10.15.1 (19888) and it is working for the Investing.com site where I log on to the site - then select my file (from my list) to load the interactive GUI pane -- after loaded then click the EXPANSION button --- then I get a full screen (see screens from order of action) attached


this activity for Catalina Version 10.15.4 FAILS on the last step (previously documented) to get full screen (just does nothing) only keeps the small screen imbedded on the site screen

If you could get a board level view of the SOIC8 clip attached, I'd love to see how stable the clip to chip is. I have everything to do the firmware transfer, but I am really really using my system right now, and If I botched it, this would be a bit of a problem for me. I just can't afford the downtime. If I could get my NUC working with Catalina as a "backup" system I could jump right in.

Anyway it would be good to get a professional quality photo of the clip to chip interface to let folks know how stable the clip fits on.

With a bit of luck, I could help you with this next weekend. I ordered some stuff (mostly for my x58 build, namely a new graphics card and amongst others a Titan Ridge AIC). But it really isn't that hard and you also can't break anything (besides some case clips maybe). Something went awry? Reattach and flash again! I first connected everything like in the first description (MoBos lights turned on red), detached the 1st pin (lights off), turned on PSU and started dumping. With the 1st pin connected the lights turning on are your indicator, that you attached the clip properly. Believe me, the hardest part was disassembling and still I managed and my fingers are all thumbs! (probably because I work too much on cars, as well)

EDIT: you might want to take the day off for flashing your chip (backside of the MoBo, as explained, disassembling will cost you a looot of time)

I think I found the root cause of this problem in Catalina.

• Kext Utility no longer works and should be avoided.
• Whenever we add or remove a file from /Library/Extensions we should do this in Terminal:
  • sudo touch /Library/Extensions
• Then reboot. When macOS starts up it will properly rebuild the caches.
• This is only relevant if there are any Hackintosh kexts in /Library/Extensions.

Gotcha -- please see the additional screenshot.. It appears to be installed correctly, however I have reinstalled the audio interface driver and turned the system off and on multiple times and it will not connect.

Please advise! If it has nothing to do with the hackintosh itself, but rather the Interface, please let me know.

You're right -- the UAD Apollo is not being detected. Please have a look at these posts from the spoiler in Post #1, and if the problem persists let us know and we'll find someone who can help further.

Just tried the Intel Bluetooth kext from GitHub -- what a great start! My Keychron K1 keyboard paired and is fully usable. But there are some teething issues such as Handoff as you pointed out. Hopefully the developers will solve these problems, in which case we would have a truly awesome native driver.

The WiFi kext, on the other hand, is a bit further behind, but once both the Intel Bluetooth and Intel WiFi kexts are operational, then WOW -- it would be just another occasion to celebrate!

The screenshots below show:

• System Information --> Bluetooth shows the Intel chip working fairly well. This screenshot was taken before I deleted and re-paired the K1 keyboard. Bluetooth devices do need to be deleted and re-paired.
• System Preferences --> Bluetooth shows we can Turn Bluetooth Off. This is another good sign.
• In Finder we can see Handoff notifications.
• But Handoff tasks cannot be completed. Again, I hope the developers will address this.

I just tried it on macOS 10.15.4 and you're right. Safari will not respond to either the Load Chart Layout button or the Fullscreen Mode button. But Google Chrome and Firefox are both able to do this. In Safari I tried changing various settings for the site, but nothing seemed to work.

Are there any Hackintosh kexts installed in /Library/Extensions (refer to table at the top of this post)?

There are... since I updated to Catalina before that post I don't recall that... Should I remove the kexts specified there and then I guess run sudo touch /Library/Extensions since Kext Utility apparently isn't working? Or should I look into unlocking MSR 0xE2 as well?

• Let's delete all Hackintosh kexts (only the ones in the table I referenced).
• Then type sudo touch /Library/Extensions
• Ensure that all necessary kexts are in CLOVER/kexts/Other.
• Reboot to make sure system still works.
• If system fails, let us know and we'll see if unlocking MSR might be worth doing.

I think it's going to be very interesting to see the continued development of native drivers for Intel Bluetooth and Intel WiFi, so I've added a section under Miscellaneous in Post #1 as shown.

All: These drivers are in development and do not work completely. Unless you are beta-testing them for the developer, please do not use them. For now, no support of any kind will be provided in this thread.

Just to clarify.. the only kexts in CLOVER/kexts/Other for me are FakeSMC, Lilu, USBInjectAll and WhateverGreen. I delete the kexts specified in that post (that are in /Library/Extensions) rather than move them somewhere?
