Asus X299 - Support

@S1lla, I hope you can save my life…
I had a perfect machine, upgraded to Catalina 10.5.4 last week with MultiBeast 12.
And then I made a stupid thing, update BIOS from 1503 to 3006 ('cause I was planning to change the processor)
and now I can’t boot.
I saw you’ve posted a patched BIOS but the problem is I can’t make the Flashback.
My Mobo is the Asus X299 TUF Mark 2. There is no BIOS Flashback button.

I tried all the BIOS before 3006 (by putting the. cap on a USB stick and use the ASUS EZ Flash Utility) I always get the message « the selected file is not a proper BIOS ».
I have read all subjects about this on Internet. It seems impossible to put a previous BIOS on a X299 Mark2.

If the cause of the boot failure is the BIOS, the problem may be related to the ACPI tables. If you're sure you've configured the bios from scratch correctly, try this patch.

Thanks LeleTuratti, but how can I open my clover config file if my machine can't start ?

You need to access the EFI folder using another computer. I don't know if it's possible to add custom DSDT Patch from Clover Boot Screen.
But, before doing this, I recommend you that do a Clear CMOS of the BIOS and reconfigure it from scratch with only the essential options for macOS.

@pieropontra,

Have you updated to 10.15.4? If so, were there any changes in Clover, etc., required moving from 10.15.3?

Yes, make sure you update clover to 5107 or 5108 (had issues with 5109).
Make sure to update Lily (1.4.2), AppleALC (from github) and WhateverGreen (though it didn't work for me and I used https://github.com/Rulebreaker01/Vega5KFixup/releases/tag/v1.2.5)

If you have two screens, disconnect one before updating.

It took me several hours to recover my non-functional hackintosh after I had failed to update clover.

Unfortunately, I have no other computer where I can put a NVMe drive.
At the Clover Boot Screen, I have a menu called Options.
In this menu there is a sub menu called ACPI with these:
1 Debug DSDT
2 Dsdt name ->
3 Tables droppin ->
4 Drop OEM _DSM [0x0000] ->
5 DSDT fix mask [0x00000000] ->
6 Custom DSDT patches ->
7 Fix MCFG
Return
Can I make your patch by doing option 5?

But, you must have already entered it in Clover to be able to select it.
Create a new EFI folder and insert it into a USB stick, then boot by selecting the USB stick as the boot disk from BIOS.

How can I create a new EFI folder with good elements for my machine ?

I made an UEFI folder on a USB stick with MultiBeast 12 with my MacBook Pro.
Then put on my hackintosh on boot on it.
I get a different Clover Menu.
Then I choose my NVMe drive containing my Catalina install, and I get stuck on
"GenericUSBXHCI: xHC will be unloaded across sleep".
Maybe I didn't choose the good options when I made the UEFI folder with MultiBeast ??

I tried something else.
Put the KGP EFI on my USB stick
because this is the EFI I had used to make my Hackintosh.
After booting on this USB stick I'm stuck at the same point when I boot on my NVMe drive:
" #LOG:EXITBS:START "
