Same thing here, 5109... immediately after 5107 -> 5109 update...

Yeah, I’m stuck with the same problem.

I used Clover Configurator for the upgrade from v2.3k, but I must have got a setting wrong, or maybe 5109 was too much for my five-year-old Gigabyte motherboard.

Anyone have an opinion about what should I try first? I have backups, and even had the foresight to make myself an El Capitan USB installer, but I‘m thinking that I have to fix Clover first.

All of this was just to upgrade to Sierra, ha!

Any help would be much appreciated, of course. Cheers!

Technically it was trivial to fix - mount the drive in Windows, roll back to the previous backup (Clover should do this, you should to this, etc.) of the EFI directory, and you're GTG.

The issue is why 5109 did this, and whether 5110 will address the core problem.

Hi there.

It depends on which version of macOS you are running. The El Capitan USB installer should be able to boot your system, at least if it is pre-Mojave, maybe even Mojave and Catalina. You can actually use the Clover Options menu to turn-off any settings that might interfere, or add ones you need. You are after a basic boot here, it doesn't matter at this point if sound or LAN works, or if graphics are accelerated etc. Then, if you can boot just copy the older Clover installer you know is okay, to the destination drive and run it.

You can do quite a lot just using the Terminal app on the El Cap installer, but that depends on your confidence using it.

:)

I see the same error when switching to use the BGM clover theme. I have a 4K display using the dp port. I switched to hdmi output on tv and rebooted. Everything came up fine. I then plugged in the 4K display, unplugged the hdmi and changed to another theme....that fixed it for me

Same problem here after updating Clover to 5109. I suspect it has something to do with the "new theme engine".

XArray::ElementAt(xsize) -> Operator [] : index > m_lenA fatal error happened. System halted.

Exact same issue here with 5109. System halted before loading the Clover boot menu using a RX580 and the DisplayPort output to a Apple LED Display. Had to downgrade to 5108 to get it working again.

So far I have found that the Carbon theme works with 5109 and am sticking with that for now.. In another forum I saw a comment that someone checked in a fix for this, but it does not look a like a new build is out.

5110 has been released. It did not fix the issue for me.
