@kusakusa
I've patched the BIOS for you, insert first the SSDT to your patched folder if you use clover.

Afterwards extract the firmware and put it on an fat32 USB 2.0 stick, attach it to the Flashback Port and Press the flashback button for 3 Seconds and release it after.

The LED should blink for a while, if it stops after 3 times, something is going wrong.

It should blink until the flash process is done and takes some time...
1-2 Minutes is nothing special and as soon as it is done you can boot your system normally.

For a better overview I also attached a picture of the Port which has to be used for it and also the flashback button...

Everything else is usual X299 EFI Configuration.. Nothing special...

Don't forget to flash the modified BIOS version. Otherwise you will run into issues with MSR.

Hi, I'm having some problems to rename my PCI devices in my new X299 build, I don't know why but with High Sierra in my previous Z370 build the devices appear correctly, but since I moved to Mojave something has changed.

The CPU is also unknown (Clover/CPU/Type = 0x0F0F), am I neglecting something?
In my ioreg however, in the Thunderbolt section, the XHC controller does not appear.
I attach my EFI folder if it can help.

MacOS Mojave 10.14.6

Hardware:
- Gigabyte X299 UD4 PRO
- CPU i9-7920X

Ps. it's still a work in progress ... I have yet to make my SSDT-UIAC for USB ports for example.
And I suspect that Sleep/Wake isn't working for now.

Why do you think you couldn't?

I don't know of any x299 board that couldn't be made to boot os x.

The new Cascade Lake Boards need a liitle bit different approach and have some issues firmware wise. If you don't know about it, it can be tricky.

Did not boot with my knowledge.
Please help someone.
Thanks

@kusakusa Did you flash the custom Firmware I've uploaded ?

I successfully booted and installed Catalina! Finally!! I stole a EFI folder from one of the users in the x299 Mojave thread, and it worked with a different Catalina USB installer. without flashing bios. Means my BOIS is unlocked? (I did add the kernel patch in clover configurator though)

Guess I need to continue reading some more in KGP’s guide.. also to get native NVRAM running.. right?

EDIT:

Got a BSD kernel panic when typing my previous message :/
Can you attach a copy of your EFI folder please? Thanks.

@kusakusa Try this EFI Folder.
Yours had a lot of trash and unnecessary stuff inside...Hope I didn't forget something...
Its late and its time to go to bed for me.

EFI Attached
