Installed fine on my desktop. But on my laptop, there is no option to install in Clover.

Intel Nuc 8th, after the update works fine. Updated Clover to 5108 (5109 had wrong visualisation of the boot screen) and the text.

A sizeable number of Mac users are experiencing occasional system crashes after updating to macOS Catalina version 10.15.4, released a few weeks ago....

This could explain why 10-15-4 keeps on crashing and locking up for me!

Edit: After installing the 10.15.4 supplemental update no longer as far as I can tell experience anymore crashes!
How I updated:

1. Created an emergency bootable Carbon Copy usb disk (helps to have super high speed usb flash).
2. Downloaded the supplemental update directly from Apple.
3. Installed from 10.15.2 install directly directed upon 10.15.4 faulty installation
4. Rebooted

Wasted a whole day on this.. If I wasn't quarantined be a problem..

My system cashes with Clover r5109. Before tge Clover Menu comes up, it says system halted. r5108 seems to work fine,. When I update the system, it reboots, starts the install reboots again, but then it simply reboots back in the original OS. There is no option for install / update macOS in Clover.

Try this:

With clover 5107 it went all fine - 20min and two reboots later it was done.

thanks, this was exactly what i needed install worked flawless after the f11 nvram reset.

It installed fine for me as well. I selected the leftmost Apple install drive on boot, twice. The first time it restarted just as the grey screen progress bar was starting. So I selected the second time as well. It went through the same process and completed the progress bar in about 10 minutes. I'm just now booting for the first time after install, and there's one more black screen progress bar.
I'll reply later with an update on any issues.

I'm running 10.15.4.02 (upgraded from 10.15.4.01) and Clover r5109 (Legacy) on my Dell Latitude E6410. I don't notice any difference between 10.15.4.01 and 10.15.4.02. During the install of 10.15.4, I need to ignore "An error occurred while preparing the installation" after the first pass of the installation and I need to ignore"The bless tool was unable to set the current boot disk" after the second pass of the installation. The update appears to have been applied correctly (correct version number), but I need to manually delete '/System/Volumes/Data/macOS Install Data' after the upgrade is complete.

I am unable to run Catalina 10.15.4 (and supplemental versions) on my Socket 1156/H55/Xeon X3460/RX580, because it resets the CMOS/BIOS on every shutdown. 10.15.3 works fine.
