pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

I don't know. I stopped using FakeSMC a while ago.
Ok but how can you see your multipliers then. I Can't see them in with the ones you have standard activated. Do you also have that large spread. I think it has something to do not with SMC but the way the multipliers or the load is distributed on the cores.

Sorry I'm not sure how to correctly load the EFI folder onto the USB.
Say if the Clover USB is created with r5107, do I just copy & replace everything in the the root EFI folder?

And then boot via BIOS to USB? Clover bootloader is not picking up the USB drive but it shows up in BIOS.

Thanks
OK. I'VE managed to get back in order!
And for anyone else running into the same issue with Clover r5108:

Boot with an UniBeast made Clover bootable USB and Pastrychef's latest EFI folder.
Now downgraded to Clover r5107, mount EFI and install r5107, then it should boot back into your OS drive without any issues.

No, multiplier is not available with VirtualSMC.

Just run Prime95 and see if all your cores are maxed out. If they are, nothing is wrong with your CPU.

Hmm... I don't know why it hangs for you. I'm on iMacPro1,1 with IGPU enabled right now albeit on my Z390 system.

Are you seeing any big improvement of the z390 board over your 370? What do you like about it?

@pastrychef
So after updating to 10.15.4 (19E266) and Clover r5107, updated all kext as your EFI folder, same profile as before - iMacPro1,1
The system keeps on rebooting after just a few minutes of browsing in Chrome. Very strange, maybe due to graphics issue? I see that you have enabled iGPU with your i9, should I try do the same with my 8700k?

Another issue is now the istat menu no longer displays CPU clock speed o_O

The only major improvement I see is that I am able to run my CPU at 5GHz with less voltage.

Besides that, my Z370 motherboard runs macOS much better.

I don't know why Chrome is giving you problems. Do you get any kernel panic logs? I don't even have Chrome installed.

It's up to you if you want IGPU enabled. I've tried with IGPU enable and disabled. Both worked equally as well for me but I am not a FCPX user.

If you want iStat Menus to displace CPU frequency, install Intel Power Gadget.

After updating to efi-clover-r5107-z390g-catalina-zip and Catalina 10.15.4 (19E266), when waking from sleep USB devices apparently don't work anymore (can't enter password, have to reset). It worked perfectly fine with the previous EFI on 10.15.3; do you have any idea what that could be about?

No... Which method did you use to address the USB 15 port limit?

After a few more tries, I'm sure it's not a (pure) USB issue. When the machine comes back from sleep, I can move the mouse cursor around for a few seconds, and then the whole machine freezes until reset (clock is stuck etc.). So it seems like something related to waking from sleep is different than before, given that it worked perfectly with 10.15.3 and the previous (pre-5107) EFI.
