I use OpenCore too. They are compatible with both bootloaders.

I compiled it with Xcode, first compile Lilu and put the kext inside WhateverGreen project and then compile WhateverGreen.

There is a new commit that fixes the use of “force-online“ device property, when I compiled the project there was an error and only work with the boot arg.

Apologies totally noob lol.

So i must install xcode then would be able to compile? Please share the details. Thank you.

These are the builds I made of latest WhateverGreen and Lilu kexts.

Add igfxonln=1 to boot args or force-online to device properties to fix the problem.

With this I have HDMI audio working again!

And don't forget to remove the "CNConnectorAlwaysConnected" if you added it.

Edit: You can only use the boot arg with this beta build, the “force-online” is not working in this build.

Thanks it works for me too, but unfortunately I still have problems with HDMI audio that goes into kernel panic after sleep

Apologies for asking too many questions.

what file i need to open inside xcode? Also after building Lilu, in which folder inside WEG do i put it?

Hi finally compiled my own Lilu and WEG. Now it works no issue. The Lilu was compiled w/Debug. Thank you.

Thank you jmmc, this fix worked for me too.

Wow!
Great finding.
Works perfect for me too.
Thanks.

Thanks @jmmc ! Just for the sake of clarity, do these particular builds are still relevant now that WEG 1.3.7 is out? Also, do these builds were supposed to also solve the wake-to-black screen problem that some of us have encountered (different from the original « screen sleep » topic of this thread.

Same here. I have a GA-170N Wifi with i7 6600 running on on board Intel HD 530. Sleep worked fine at 10.15.3 and prior. Did a clean install of 10.15.4 - install went well and everything works except waking from sleep. Monitor cannot wake up - just a black screen.

Hey @pcloh88 , did you finally solve your wake issue?

I am suffering from this also since the 10.15.4 update yesterday. The machine is waking from sleep but the display is off. I have tried updating kexts and clearing NVRAM to no avail. Also, removing and inserting the HDMI cable did not change anything.

@jmmc I tried to apply the "CNConnectorAlwaysConnected" this afternoon and I had to roll it back because it would not boot to the login screen following the change (Stuck at the apple logo). I did not get the verbose output but I can if it will help.

Hey @haberda , did you finally solve your wake issue?

It’s WhateverGreen 1.3.8 and Lilu 1.4.3.

And no, it doesn’t fix system sleep.
