There are no Catalina drivers for a GT750M.
The last OS to provide support is High Sierra (with the Nvidia web drivers).

I rang the shop before I bought it and they said because it hadas separate graphics card it would run my required applications. Now I understand the graphic card isn't going to function so I guess it's a lemon then?
All I can do, I suppose, is contact them and hope they will take it back (if I can even get a courier with the lockdown - can't go anywhere personally). Looks like I'll be doing a semester on a cellphone.

This is a Haswell core i5 from 2013.
Last I checked, these have full support in Catalina. I use one myself. The GT 750m nvidia card also has native support in Catalina so it will work as long as the hardware is functional.

No, keep the iMac and use that, it won't have any problems with Final Cut Pro X.

Wonderful news! Thank you so much for taking the time to put my mind at ease. I've emailed the store to let them know the mouse and keyboard was missing and I was concerned with the graphics card. Hopefully, they can just courier me one in the morning. What a great community on this site.

I really need Nvidia for Octane/Redshift 3D render in Cinema 4D but I run everything in Mac Os. Is running dual GFX Radeon(Mac OS) and Nvidia(Windows) a worthwhile option? Is it just a case of disable card in bios every time I boot? Anyone else doing this solution? I'd like to start building soon.

• A good amount of RAM
• An upper level CPU
• A stout graphics card.
