Catalina + VirtualSMC > monitor CPU/GPU sensors and more

Hey guys,

I updated my config to Catalina (10.15.3) few days ago. It is working perfectly. I'm not using FakeSMC but VirtualSMC.

I have only one problem: I cannot monitor CPU/GPU sensors, fan readings, etc... Everything is empty on iStat or HWSensors.

I installed last kexts from VirtualSMC :
SMCProcessor.kext
SMCSuperIO.kext

But they are not working for me... Any idea?

I hope someone could help me. Much appreciated!

Did you manage to get Gpu Sensors working?

Yes, GPU and CPU sensors are working (only with HWMonitorSMC 2).

Hi Tammm2. After doing a fresh install of 10.15.4 I now know what you're referring to. You're right iStats isn't showing everything even after installing Intel Power Gadget and HWMonitorSMC2. I'm not sure why I was able to see everything in iStats before, I will check my folders and look on my other machine to see if there's anything different.

Hmm...very interesting!. So comparing my new build to my Dell 9020 we can see that something is a miss!, I have taken screenshots from each build. I also just noticed on the new build while taking the screenshot, that opening the Intel Power Gadget showed more in iStats.

A word of warning about that :
I hit unsubscribe on an e-mail about 9 months ago and all it did was confirm to the sender that it was a live account.
They sold it on to other spammers and now the account gets in excess of 100 spam e-mails per day.

I also think 'store cards' have something to do with it, I registered for a card last year with email and phone#, I try to avoid accepting store cards now. Getting fed up with people selling me car warranty's, when I don't own a car!.

It doesn't do much, you still get the spam but there is an icon to say it is from a blocked sender.
Blockers only work until the spammer spoofs a different sender address.

I have it go to a separate folder to keep it out of my inbox. Then it's easy to delete them all in one fell swoop. That way you don't end up with 3,000 plus junk emails in your inbox that you have to sort through to find emails you want to read. It also doesn't give the spammers any notice that you actually received it and looked at it.
