[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Unfortunately, this board is not built, so no Windows with which to flash. I was planning on using flashrom to update firmware and then put mobo back in box for a later build.
You can use the 2nd file in the link above (NVM20.bin.zip) with Flashrom. It is a dump of the TB firmware after I updated the TB firmware from NVM14 to 20.

I want to buy Noctua D15 for my build but I will need to put my graphic card to the second pcie slot. Would it cause any stability problem ?
Do you recommend 2x16gb or 4x8gb ram and 2666mhz is the best for the stability ?

Hello Team Any Luck With Successful update from 10.15.3 (19D76) to 10.15.4 Latest update from Apple Please share the information that we can update directly or not
Updated from SU system pref. ~30mins two reboots, updated using clover 5103. No other changes required. Some reports of install failure using older versions of clover, resolved by using the current 5107 version. Make sure to choose the "Install" partition if its not automatically selected when installer reboots.

I highly recommend Noctua D15s - it fits perfectly! I made a mistake of originally ordering Noctua D15 (without s), and the video card could not be inserted into PCIe x16 slot, but only in the second slot (PCIe x8). Truth be told, you won't notice any difference in performance between the slots, however, you will be limiting yourself in the future if you decide to use a second graphics card. So go with Noctua D15s. It's an awesome cooler - same as Noctua D15, but slightly different shape (asymmetrical).

PS. One important thing to note: Noctua D15s - comes with only one fan. If you want the second one (comes by default with Noctua D15), get the NF-A12x25 PWM (it's a 120mm version instead of the 140mm). If you get 140mm, the ram sticks will be in the way and the fan won't fit.

It depends on your future plans. If you plan to extend ram in several years to 64gb, then go with 2x16gb. If 32gb is all you'll ever need, then 4x8gb is perfectly fine. Other than the possibility of expansion, there's really not much difference.

Hi Casey, first of all I want to thank for all your work. Built my hackintosh this last week and it was a smooth build and install thanks to you. My UAD Apollo has been working flawlessly, which was my main concern.

I would like to ask you about temps.

My build is using the 9900KS with a AOI Corsair H115i PRO all inside a Raidmax Delta Prime case.

The radiator is mounted in the front pushing hot air out. I've replaced the radiators fans to Noctua ones. And the original fans are on top of the case pulling air from the outside. And there's another fan in the back push air out.

But even though there are 5 fans running, my CPU goes to 100 celsius when benchmarking using Geekbench, Cinebench, and when running Folding@Home to help medicine. The fans runs faster, I've changed the fan curves in BIOS and they seem to follow the curve, but is not enough to prevent the CPU from getting to 100 celsius.

Is it normal? Am I doing something wrong?

Thank you again.

Run the pump at full speed all the time, set the rest of the fans to run on normal should be enough as they will ramp up to top speed if the CPU calls for it.

What kind of thermal paste did you use?

Is the pump running?
