Not from my tests, unless I did something wrong. Tried various combinations of BUS IDs with the SSDTs, nothing shows up under the Alpine Ridge controllers RP05 when the GC-TR card is plugged in.

Do you have it so Onboard is 0x00 and GC-TR is 0x01 on their corresponding SSDT's?

I tried that, I tried using 0X01 and 0x02, and for the heck if it I tried 0x04 and 0x06, making sure that all the CRCs were correct. Only the GC-TR card shows up each time. Very weird indeed!

If you install macOS on the Designare Z390 by following either the Mojave or Catalina build guide in this thread, then Thunderbolt will work in a "90%" mode. For most people, this is good enough. To go beyond 90%, we have to use an external flasher to change the Thunderbolt firmware on a dedicated chip located on the back of the motherboard.

So to determine if your board is working, just connect a Thunderbolt 3 device. If the device work, then your board is good.

- Yes, I don't know if you missed in one of my last posts but every time I have flashed/done any component install the power supply is 100% turned off and unplugged. Every time I do a new test its cold boot unless specifically testing warm boot.

No TR Card+Cold Boot+Thunderbolt Device plugged in to MOTHERBOARD TB3: It has the small Thunderbolt Tree, most likely ICM, in RP05.

TR Card+Cold Boot+Thunderbolt Device plugged in to MOTHERBOARD TB3: Nothing populates under RP05, TR Card populates and RP12 and shows full tree.

TR Card+Cold Boot+Thunderbolt Device plugged in to GC-Titan Ridge TB3: Connects and acts as we have all been observing.

- Using all of the modified Z170X Designare firmwares from cold boot, Motherboard Onboard Alpine Ridge never showed anything populated under RP05 when a thunderbolt device was plugged in. That most likely means the mobo TB3 was dead. This is with NO TR card installed.

UPDATE:

When the Thunderbolt Header cable is plugged into the motherboard from the GC-TR card, it populates under RP05 not RP12, I wonder if to have both controllers seen at once on this board it has to be connected by the header cable.

Might be helpful to fill out or correct this table...

I know this has been answered here but can someone help connect a Cinema display with Thunderbolt 3 (MC007LL/A)? The computer doesn’t have an internal GPU i9-KF. (I have no idea if that makes a difference?) Thanks.

Ok i have test with my UAD on catalina 10.15.3 before my motherboard broken it is wirking very well

I have test on windows 10 it is same not working

With a external ssd in usb-c it is working

Have you connected a DisplayPort cable from your Radeon VII to the port on the back of motherboard labeled DP-In? And then connected Cinema Display to Thunderbolt port closest to HDMI port?
