[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

You moved the active partition to address 0x082000, but it's all empty...

Hmm... Here's the two files I'm using. One from above that @Loloflatsix pulled and the AlpineRidgePatchedNuc firmware. Double check my work?

This is a very "hit it with a hammer" approach mind you.

Because the first 4 bytes in your patch are FFFFFFFF, it means the start of active partition is specified at offset 0x1000. At that offset we see 00200800, which in reverse byte order is location 0x00082000. So the active partition is pointing to location 0x00082000, but there's nothing at that location.

I think it was a copy-and-paste operation going wrong! :)

Man I can be a doofus when multi tasking. See if I got this one right. It's on mine now and with no SSDT I get USB finally!

But so far no DSB1 devices which I think if I get the ROM set up right them I'm good to go.

I still believe making a fresh intentional patch would do us EX 3 owners a lot of good.

edit: still looks off doesn’t it

Yes this will be gold for me and for all TBEX3 owners : two years later I decided to go with the X299 and many builds (it wouldn't be the same choice anymore...) and according to the guide of Kgp (remarkable and documented at the time) TBEX3 comes with it , now i have to assume my choice..and developing new and unlocked features here with deep knowledge is the way to achieve the original goal.

Okay, I’ll provide a couple of patched versions to try (in about 20 minutes).

Attached is the Asus Thunderbolt EX3 NVM 26 modified version. Please give it a try. All usual disclaimers apply. It may or may not work, so be prepared to flash the original firmware back to the chip.

My hero. I'll give it a shot report back in the morning. Per usual thank you and if you'd like us to move this over to the other thread just say word.

Thanks, it is late here ( 02 : 31 AM ) but I wanted to wait before sleep out of respect for your work and all the very detailed guide : tomorrow when the rooster will crowing , I will carefully test it

Hello!

I flashed original Thunderbolt 3 firmware from iMac 19.1 to my GC-TITAN RIDGE, and now it works perfectly!

Correction: The original firmware from iMac19,1 should go with SSDT, and its situation is the same as NVM23.

Besides, I also tested BlackmagicDesign eGPU firmware on GC-TITAN RIDGE. It seems like a miracle that the card can be recognized by my MacBook Pro! Maybe DIY an eGPU is feasible.

Bluetooth is something that has been a pain for me -- honestly it's the only part of this experience where I felt like I'm dealing with a Hackintosh -- I've purchased both the Fenvi T919 card...

so there you have it -- in my experience, the Bluetooth does not work well if you connect wifi to a 2.4GHz connection. Switching wifi'off' (which disables some functions of continuity) or going to a 5.8GHz connection allows the Bluetooth to work well.
@loghound I was so excited to come across your post because I've been in the very same situation. I am on a Gigabyte Aorus Z390 Xtreme motherboard, using the Fenvi T919 card for WiFi + Bluetooth. WiFi works great, but the Bluetooth has come and gone and is generally unusable.
I restarted my Hackintosh and turned off WiFi to see if Bluetooth would work any better.. it did not. So I then turned off my Netgear Nighthawk X6 R8000 router all together, just to see if WiFi might still be interfering with my Bluetooth.
Sadly, it also didn't seem to make any difference.
I was curious if you've continued to have reliable Bluetooth so long as you keep 2.4GHz off?
Or if you've found any other culprits for poor Bluetooth performance?
