[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Welcome to the "socially distanced" party!

  • Do both builds have Thunderbolt Bus?
  • Which build has Port 7 active (with correct CRC in Thunderbolt DROM)?

- Yes, both show the Thunderbolt Bus in IOReg
- Port 7 is active on Build 3, i will put that in my posts from now on.

Seriously! my whole day is free to test this stuff since all my plans have been rescheduled weeks out! :beachball::beachball::headbang:
Same here -- three weeks of "shelter in place".

Can you please enter a fake CRC32 into Build 3, reboot, and run this:
Code:
log show --last boot | grep Thunderbolt > ~/Documents/FakeCRC-txt

** Several New Apple Products Announced Today **

  • New iPad Pros with LIDAR scanner
  • New Mac mini
    • Only a storage bump
  • New MacBook Air with 10th Gen Intel CPU (does it have WIFi 6?)
    • No WiFi 6!
    • But 2x the performance.
    • Four-core model with 512GB at $1299. Not bad.
hacking laptops has become increasingly difficult, especially since RehabMan is no longer on the scene. the new Air prices may get me to take the leap to a real MacBook.

I rather meant that I already lost track of how to bend that with port 7 for the pcie card and create a custom DROM.

@CaseySJ
If you're using a generic Thunderbolt DROM, please post it here and we'll give you a new one to test with.

Four cores on the new MacBook Air. Makes me wonder what the rumored 14-inch MacBook Pro with MiniLED will have!

Seems Apple is still waiting for Broadcom's WiFi 6 chipset...??

Still at work. Will post it in around 6 hours. Thanks!

Are there optimal settings for ThunderboltConfig, and how does its settings affect ThunderboltDROM?

Anyone getting this error after working out CRC8 and CRC32?

AppleThunderboltNHI - ERROR: adding entry to config handler array
