The 4K Dell OptiMac - 9020 MT - Core i7-4790 - Radeon RX 570 - LG 4K IPS Monitor

Dang, my deal for a HP EX900 1TB for fast storage (and possibly running the MacOS from, of course not boot) just fell through. I am now contemplating the WD Black SN750 - would this work without a hitch?

" . . . nuke and pave. Format the drive completely and clean reinstall macOS."

I did consider it. It was lucky the owner remembered one chunk of his password, and I remembered another chunk from a year ago when I last used this machine.

Catalina installer is on a thumb drive along with UniBeast, and there will be fresh adventures in the morning.

Many thanks for those helpful suggestions.

I hope this helps.

It says that Clover is not installed. Did you somehow delete it ?

@Daneland if you are booting from an ssd but loading OSX from a NVMe drive - copy the EFI folder from the SSD to the EFI partition on the NVMe drive and then run the Problem Reporting script.

You can zip up and upload your Clover folder and I'll take a look at that.
There is no Clover folder inside of the EFI partition (the one that needs to be mounted to be able to access) I guess why it says Clover is not installed. However, there is an EFI partition that permanently mounted and the Clover folder of this partition is attached. When I carbon copied while upgrading my SSD, I made something different and caused this bizarre partition structure. I dont think that this has caused issues with 570 but nonetheless at one point it should be corrected.
