Hi, new to the forum, and this is very much a feeler thread to see if the components I have on hand are viable to turn one of my machines.

I've seen a number of these components in a few different buyers' guides here, so ultimately looking for a compatibility check across them, and any suggestions on changes I may need to make are greatly appreciated.

Boards
ASUS Prime Z270-A
SuperMicro C7Z170-OCE

Processors
Intel i7 6700K (x2)

SSDs (Sata 3)
Samsung 850 EVO 500GB
Kingston A400 240GB
Silicone Power A55 250GB (x2)
Silicone Power S60 60GB

Memory kits
Patriot Elite 32GB 2666Mhz CL16 (x2 pairs)
GeiL Potenza 8GB 2400Mhz CL16

GPUs
ASUS Strix GTX 1070 OC 8GB

I also have a very stock Alienware Aurora R3 with an i7 2600 and GT 545, but I suspect due to the crazy amount of proprietary off board components, that the venture would be either very complicated, or just impossible, so if anyone can confirm that as well, that'd be great.

Thanks for the help in advance :)

ASUS Strix GTX 1070 OC 8GB is not supported on Mojave or Catalina

The GTX 1070 is not supported on MacOS Mojave and Catalina due to lack of Nvidia drivers.

The Prime Z270-A and the i7 6700K should be compatible, as are the SATA SSDs and the RAM. Few people use SuperMicro motherboards here so no idea about that.

If you want to run Mojave or Catalina you can use the Prime Z270-A / i7 6700K and CPU integrated graphics.

That was the answer I've been seeking, the idea of using a 6700K in a Z270 board. The 6th and 7th series are very close to the same, so I suppose that makes sense.

Onboard is out of the question, at least for the rig using the Prime Z270-A/6700K combo; it seems a lot of Nvidia cards are supported, so finding an alternative for it won't be a big deal.

Thanks for the help, and for moving this to the right place.
