16GB is the maximum for Windows7, but 8GB of memory is available and 32GB for Windows10 or MacOS (forgot version).
I agree with replacing the CPU with the i7-3770, and SSDs can be used up to 1TB.
GPU performance affects the display processing speed, so a high-performance one is better, and the processing is faster.

At present, I think that the largest expansion of MacpPro-2019 is the best cost performance.

The $6,000 base model MP 2019 can easily be outperformed by a $1600 i9-9900K hackintosh. Apple must really think that custom case and motherboard are worth at least $3,000 or they just don't want average Mac users to be able to buy one.

Well. You als get lots of RAM and PCIe slots, a huge PSU and total silence. I agree that the base model is not the best choice, btw.
I think a comparison with HP Z8 workstations is fair, these are also expensive. And not as quiet or pretty.
The build quality of the Mac Pro 2019 is unbelievable, BTW.

It's just not for the average Joe(like me) with a hobby. Same with MacBook Pro's, btw. For most people a consumer level PC laptop or an iPad like device will be plenty.

Using MacPro Eary 2008 as an example, I think that the largest expansion required $ 6000 in 2008, but in 2014 I bought it for $ 380.
If you do not need 6K to 8K display accuracy (about 4K), you don't need to use Catalina.

I think 32GB is possible in 10.6.8, but thanks for the clear information.
I am using 10.6.8 on HP8000, but I would like to omit it because the confirmation is troublesome.

PS: There is no financial power to purchase four 8GB memory at the moment.

Many thanks for your guides! Just used your guides to create a Catalina version Hackintosh with an HP 6300. Went very smoothly, by following the steps exactly as outlined.
I also added the Fenvi full size card for wifi and BT that is working well. Though for the Fenvi I had to cut the adapter to fit--not my best work but I didn't want to go through restocking fee and delays of ordering the SFF version.
Just one thing remains: I need to work through getting the custom SSDT.aml to work for power management. When I add to my configuration the system stops booting.
