It's a ALCPlugFix problem combined with AppleALC.
Im working to get all these problems resolved, we are close but need a bit more time to iron out 1 more remaining issue with static noise on cold boot and then Audio should work perfect only with AppleALC and without CodecCommander and without ALCPlugFix.
Thank you very much! I salute you for all that you are doing :)

@Sniki would you mind sharing your brcm (94352z) wifi drivers for windows 10? I'd really like to try them out as you said they work perfectly for you while I have the aforementioned issue where the wifi adapter is detected but it cannot actually find any networks.

I don't have the driver for the moment as im not using that card anymore.
I have original 2x Apple Bcm94360cs2 cards on my T440S and V330 and the DW1820A on the X240.
I remember that i had that issue once where wireless networks were not showing up but after another clean install and installation of drivets from Windows Update via Lan, drivers were installed correctly and i had wireless network connectivity.
You can try DriverEasy, it will download you the latest drivers or go to dell website and download the DW1560 drivers from there, they should work.

@Sniki any updates on progress on the updates needed for Catalina? I'm still very satisfied on Mojave. I might end up skipping Catalina all together

@Sniki, I followed your guide with mojave, then I changed the mojave installer to Catalina. it works !.
To boot, I use the USB installer, I can't boot from the hard drive. Thank you very much

Have you installed Clover onto the hard drive? What exactly is the issue when booting from the hard drive? Please be more descriptive with your issue.

now, everything is fine.
I use clover configurator, Catalina works and boot from hard drive.

Thank you Sniki !

Thank you for the guide. Everything that i need works great ! (my BIOS version is 2.24, and i must upgrade it to 2.36 so the native Apple wifi card can be used, seem BIOS v2.24 have Whitelist too )

But i found that the font rendering on Catalina look not smooth, even on my Dell P2319H 1080p second monitor. Seem like a "feature" from Mojave to Catalina. Are there any solution for this problem ? Or better switch back to High Sierra ?

Try this free tool (TinkerTool) to fiddle with these settings.

Thank you. I tried it before and just disabled Dark Mode. It looks much better now.

Btw, i really missed Thinkpad fan control on Linux. Is there any work around to get fan control to work properly on hackintosh ? (to detect fan speed and control it by temp)
