Asus X299 - Support

Hi all,
I've got a GB x299 UD4 Pro with a i9-9820X (& MSI Vega 64).
Using KGP's guide as a basis, along with the clover FixAPIC patch, I am able to boot into Mojave, but it runs extremely choppy once there. Also I'm getting the issue of having to swap display ports once booted, to get the desktop to show.
I've searched alot, but I just can't work out what to do next.

So to the inevitable begging/pleading:cry::

Has anyone got this combo to work (GB x299 UD4 Pro & 9820x) with Mojave+ at all? If so, could you help, or share your working EFI.

Or if someone could help me diagnose and fix the issue myself that would also be cool.
I have:
EFI that boots to desktop
System Report
AML from windows using RW Util
preboot.log
verbose screengrabs
tried opencore (sticks on randomseed)
tried old GTX770

just let me know what you need from me.
or if I should create a new thread.

Any insights would be gratefully received.

thanks

For those of you who are still on Clover and not OC, here's a replacement for AptioMemoryFix/OsxAptioFix that's based on OC. Since AptioMemoryFix is not in development anymore, it's worth to take a look at this.

OCQuirks

In general, it would be much better for people to transition over to OC, especially X299 owners.

Suddenly my X299 System gioves this error at boot:
tree_node_key_range_validate
Corruption detected by tree_node_key_range_validate:841 in container 35EBC56D-19AE-4B82-B9A2-4895CBCADF63!
(these number differ but are similar to the error shown here)

This system has been running fine for a year.
I just updated to Clover 5103 but then the system became slow and suddenly showed the aforementioned error.
At the moment it's NOT bootable.
Updated to Clover 5104 but still both the internal MacOS Mojave and a different external USB Mojave show this issue.
USB Installer show this issue but then it boots and I can install MacOS 10.14.6 on an external USB SSD.
After the installation I get the very same error.
Windows 10 Pro on this system works without a glitch.

It's the first time I see this error.
I have no idea how to solve this.

Yes works fine I use OCQuirks since october #378

Hi,
I was successfully able to boot and run Mojave 10.14.6 and Catilina 10.15.1.
However sometimes it gets kernel panics randomly. Also can't get through a GeekBench run.

Guessing it could be the GPU or maybe need to patch SSDT ( which I have no idea)
Utilising this machine for Pro Audio purpose so I don't need expensive graphics card.
It would be great if you can look at Clover folder attached bellow.

Thank You.
Hardware list :
Motherboard : Asus WS X299 Sage

GPU : Sapphire Radeon Rx 580
M.2 : Corssair Mp600 2tb ssd

So I can't help you much because I don't run Clover. I run OC. I found Clover 101, etc, to be unstable on my machine, particularly with Catalina. You might want to try OcQuirks with Clover, but I don't use it as I use OC. As for Operating systems, Catalina requires SSDT-EC but Mojave does not, for instance....so there are a lot of differences between the two OS.

My Sage does not run Geekbench, and if I need a benchmark, I use Cinebench R20, which is a much more like a real production oriented benchmark, as opposed to a synthetic benchmark like Geekbench.

If you're running Pro Tools, remember, Avid is always behind the curve on OS updates, and they just released a version of Pro Tools that is supposed to work on Catalina (meaning likely to be buggy). And, as for Avid Media Composer, they still haven't released a version for Catalina, and Apple is close to releasing Catalina 10.15.4.....

I'm still on Mojave.

Edit:
Installed OcQuirks and boots smoothly but still has random Kernel Panic. looking forward to try OpenCore.
It would be great if you can share some guides and EFI to use.

You apparently didn't listen when I said I couldn't help you much......from the X299 Catalina support thread: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/asus-x299-catalina-support.279556/page-66, post #659

"....Yes, it (OC) takes more work, and is more technically challenging than Clover. I guess I could say its not for the technically challenged, but I'm not a programmer, and I managed to get through it.

And finally, you need to customize it to your own machine, so don't just ask for an EFI, because for the most part, you won't get it. You need to build your own OC system and files, customized to your own systems' needs/requirements. There are some good guides out there on the web. You just have to search for them, they're not hard to find...."

Hi Guys,

I've been build a perfect hack on Asus X299 Prime A under Mojave using KGP guide. Now I try with Asus X299 Prime Edition 30 with the same usb key install Mojave but install don't start, it's freeze on Apple logo.

All parameters in bios is the same according KGP guide.

All others components are exactly the same:

i9-9940X
128Gb Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3200MHz c 16
Gigabyte Radeon RX Vega 64
SSD NVMe Samsung EVO Plus 500GB

Only motherboard change.

Any ideas?
