Hi, I'm new to hackintosh,

I followed the guide "The 4K Dell Optimac" by trs96 with no issue. Everything is working fine however, I encountered the above error, when the computer goes to sleep or shutdown. Not sure if I have missed out anything. Thank you.

Dell Optiplex 9020 USFF (iCPU) with Dell U2515H via Display Port.

I have attached the EFI I'm using as well.

Looks like you followed the Catalina mini guide. You still need to complete the iMessage activation step. All this SMBIOS info needs to be filled out. If you are using HD4600 graphics only, choose the iMac 14,3 system definition. You can also enable Legacy Option Roms in the BIOS if you want Sleep to work. Stay with the UEFI booting setting too.

See Step #5 of the Mojave version of the guide and complete that first. I bet that Catalina is looking really good on that high end Dell Ultrasharp monitor. Congratulations on that.

Hi trs96,

Thanks for the reply.

Actually I did the iMessage earlier but didn't want to post my serial number so I using the config.plist before amending SMIBIOS. I tried with 14.3 initially but couldn't get it to work so using 14.2 to test out.

I just need to get the shutdown working. How I do it now is, I always choose restart, exit clover, press power button off manually.

Tried with Mojave’s installation. Same issue as well. Couldn’t figure out what went wrong.

I would install Windows 7, 8 or 10. Doesn't matter. Test out all your hardware and rule that out first before trying a macOS clean install. Test the ram, CPU, hard drive etc and make sure it's all functioning normally. If you didn't do the BIOS flash up to the newest, you can do that with Windows installed too.

Hi trs96

based on the EFI files, did I miss out anything else?

Things I have tried earlier.

1. BIOS A14 to A25, reset to factory default and configured according to your steps.
2. Swapped Processor
3. Swapped Memory (Samsung to Crucial)
4. Swapped Plextor Drive to Crucial Drive
5. Ran memtest and Dell Diagnostic
6. Reset NVRam
7. Removed CMOS battery
8. Was on Windows 10 and ESXi OS earlier and no issue in shutting down.
9. Swapped another similar monitor U2511H, I don't have another brand or model to try.

It doesn't appear that you did. You're not using this file system driver by any chance ?

I'm really out of ideas as to what might be causing this. The only thing left to try is a clean re-install and then add things in one by one, at the software and hardware levels. I've not seen anyone else report this panic before on this 9020 system.

Really thank you for your patient with me, indeed I was expecting smooth transition to MAC as well. doubt I am using the fs driver as I'm clueless on this.

I didn't install any app initially until I out of ideas until and start to live with the shutdown issue, as for the hardware level, do you mean I add the kext one by one?

as for the hardware level, do you mean I add the kext one by one?
I meant actual hardware that you connect either internally or externally.

From what I'm seeing in your EFI you attached, you've still got the drivers64UEFI folder and the driversUEFI both there. So I don't think you did a clean install as per the Catalina mini guide. The "drivers64" folder should not be there. You also have some missing drivers in the driversUEFI folder. Get that straightened and the panic problem should be resolved.

If you do want to start over with a clean install then make a Unibeast 10.0 installer with Catalina and follow the mini guide step by step and it should work for you.
