Hi everyone,

I am new to the hackintosh community because I had a lenovo laying around that I didn't use much because of it's lack of OSX support. I stumbled upon the world of hackintosh and have started tinkering with it but I just cannot get it to work and I've tried a lot.

I have used this guide to try and set the OS up. The problem I keep running into is whenever I boot up, I get to the end of installation and then before the boot screen I get a prohibited sign. I've looked around the forums and from my understanding this is caused by a disconnection of the USB bootable drive. The problem is that I do not disconnect the drive, it is already on USB 2, and I have tried using USBinjectall.kext as well as XHCI-unsupported.kext and tried to get clover to fix this problem via the fix USB option but no luck.

Also I have run in verbose mode with the same problem (I can post pics if needed it will just take a while)

How can I fix this? I feel so close!

Edit: Forgot to mention I am attempting boot on Catalina 10.10.0

don't rename folders in ACPI folder

they should be called:
origin
patched
WINDOWS

no need for dsdt.aml to reach the installer

try a later version of clover:

use an updated config.plist from the laptop guide (untouched):

remove all FAKEPCIID* kexts

update your lilu and whatevergreen kexts

next time, just upload your zipped clover folder, not the entire EFI folder

Ok, I went through and did everything that you told me and that fixed all of my previous problems. The only issue that I have now is that I get to the final boot screen and the loading bar gets about 3/4ths of the way done and says About 2 minutes remaining... then my computer crashes and restarts. I've been looking around but I'm not really sure how to fix this do you have any suggestions?

Also here is my updated CLOVER folder:

Also here is my updated CLOVER folder:
remove:
FakePCIID_Intel_HD_Graphics.kext
AppleBacklightInjector.kext
ACPIBatteryManager.kext
AppleALC.kext

and all the files from acpi/patched folder

Update: Deleted all the recommended files but now I get through first boot, pc restarts, and then the OS does not show up :thumbdown I feel like every step I take forward is 3 steps backwards

Here is my new clover folder

maybe worth trying this config.plist:

also if you have had a fail, you may need to try the whole process from start, wipe and reinstall

Attempted fresh install with newer OSX 10.15 and trying to use only basic Kexts but I still have the issue of crashing on first install. Can't figure out what's wrong and I really want to try to get back to 2nd install screen. If there's any suggestions let me know!

try using the new config.plist from the laptop guide without editing it

Used config.plist without editing anything on it, still getting a crash on install and then when it reboots the OSX isn't showing up even though it's on the hard drive in APFS format, it has 8 GB's of storage used up so I am assuming that must be it

Bumping the post, are there any suggestions for what I should do here? I have tried a lot of different things, even tried using UniBeast installer but I still can’t get past the first install screen within the Mac OS recovery system
