pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

Hey pastrychef, first off all, nice guide! Really easy to follow and got my hack up and running in under 2 hours...
Sadly, I have not enough knowledge to get my iGPU to work in headless mode...

- Intel 8700K
- Asus Z370-I
- GTX980Ti
- Skill 32GB DDR4 Ram

I use the iMac 18.3 system definition

I did this:
- SSDT from this guy: SSDT for ASUS z370-i
- updated to newest version of WEG and Lilu
- deleted all the acpi patches
- use the 0x59120003 device ID
- checked inject intel
- use -disablegfxfirmware bootflag

Honestly, the guides I found weren't that helpful to me and I don't really understand what I'm doing with the patches and stuff. Would be very nice If you can point me in the right direction

Get rid of the SSDT. It's not needed for IGPU.
Get rid of the 0x59120003 thing.
Get rid of Inject Intel.
-disablegfxfirmware no longer needed.

All you had to do was change system definition to iMac18,1.

Hi Pastrychef,

I've tried injecting these IDs (obviously each number 1 by 1) under Devices in config.plist
1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 15, 16, 21, 27, 28, 29, 34. I got these from acidanthera's GitHub page under ALC1220. In the Mojave setup this was ID 2.

When I plug the Hyperx headset into the front of the case (the headset goes into a splitter cable, one for ears, one for mic) Catalina detects them as headphones. Digital Out, Headphones and both Lineouts work.
Under Sound Preferences>Input, there is "Internal Microphone Built-in" but when I bark into the mic there is no response in the Input level bars.

When I plug the same headset into my 2012 MB Pro (without the splitter cable) Under Sound Preferences>Input,
Internal Microphone Built-in changes to "External Microphone Microphone port" and when I bark into the microphone there is a response.

Thanks in advance

Try entering the audio device-id here:

Sorry if I'm asking dumb questions, but isn't the iMac 18.3 recommended for dGPU+Quicksync? I thought the 18.1 is for iGPU only...
So if I get this right, I just have to have Lilu & WEG in my kexts and the iGPU should work? Could the SSDT cause some sort of conflict? (The SSDT is for the USB mapping apparently, I'll have to look into making my own)

I thought you were on IGPU only. Yes, iMac18,1 should be used for systems with IGPU only.

What GPU are you using? If it's the GTX 980 Ti, forget it. There are no drivers for that.

I'm on a GTX980Ti (Works flawless) and I try to get my iGPU online in headless mode for the Quicksync encoding.
That's why I added the device ID (The 0x59... thing)

You don't have to add anything for IGPU to work headlessly.

What version of macOS are you on?

I'm on 10.13.6 (High Sierra).
iGPU is activated in UEFI and the DVMT is set to the recommended 192M, but the iGPU is neither showing in system report nor in the VDADecoderCheck Terminal app

Please post your EFI folder.

Here is my EFI.
Ignore the BCRM stuff, it is not needed but I want to get my iGPU running before streamlining the installation

Please try this one.
