Hey guys,

I'd like to ask for your opinion...

I have a quite old piece of hardware, running Sierra since 2017 on it, without any issues...

Would I be able to get away with Mojave on it?

Mainboard: Asus Pk5 Pro (P35 Chipset)
CPU: Intel Xeon X5460 (quad core, 12MB Cache)
RAM: 6GB DDR2 (800Mhz)
Storage: 120GB SSD Crucial + 1TB HDD WD Blue
Graphics: nVidia GeFroce GTS450 GS (which I'd replace with an RX560)

Thanks for all the inputs in advance!

Your CPU does not have the SSE4.2 instructions, which is required when running Mojave with an AMD graphics card like the RX 560, and your old graphics card is not supported in Mojave due to lack of Metal support.

So no, you won't be able to run Mojave satisfactorily on your system, even with a RX 560.

Got it, thank you! :)

I'll stick to Sierra then.
