[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

*** OpenCore Mini-Guide has been Updated ***

  • Two versions of OpenCore EFI folders are now available:
    • Standard acidanthera
      • Based on version 0.5.4 official release
    • n-d-k fork (provides better support for dual boot macOS/Windows systems)
      • Based on version 0.5.4 plus latest commits (i.e. built on my system with the Master branch)
  • Link to mini-guide.

UPDATE 19-Jan-2020:
  • The OpenCore Mini-Guide has been updated once again. Now you may continue to use the same SMBIOS name. Both iMacPro1,1 and iMac19,1 have been tested successfully. Other names may also work. This avoids having to relicense applications or register a new Mac in iCloud.

Sorry, can I use Open Core modified DSDT with USB patch for Clover bootloader? If yes, what SSDT can I delete from EFI?

NICE! gonna try it out and see how it goes.... FYI your ROM field still had data (ndk version), shouldn't it be blank for us to fill out?

****UPDATE - looks like wake from sleep is broken

Sorry in advance for the n00b question(s). Is the internal USB 2.0 header working "out of the box" when following the Catalina build guide? I am trying to use a command line tool to control my NZXT X72 AIO cooler, but it is not recognizing the NZXT cooler that I have installed and connected to the internal USB 2.0 header.

Side note...what is everybody using for AIO cooling and hackintosh? Seems like most (all?) the control software for these units is written for Windows, and I'm already annoyed by the pump noise/whine coming from the NZXT X72.

I believe I set to "aabbccdd" or something silly like that.

Which version? Acidanthera or n-d-k? And did it work previously?

I have the NZXT Kraken X62 (280mm) on my Asus Hackintosh. It's controlled within macOS by liquidctl. Instructions for downloading and installing:

seems to have the issue with n-d-k. this was after a long sleep. been on the machine since the restart so we will see if it happens again when I get up tomorrow.
also I changed from imacpro1,1 to imac19,1 as we had it in clover. seems to be ok. only thing I found was that I lost 1 fan sensor in istat menu. had 2 previously, 1 showed zero. no that's the only one that displays. i211 still does not show download throughput also in istat

Alright I think I need some serious help with my build, haha. I've spent many hours/days now on my own trying to get this working smoothing, but it seems since I've been on Catalina things have just devolved into crappiness for me. I'm locked into Catalina with my 5700xt gfx so....

My issues were were first crackling audio with my UAD Apollo system. Never sorted that out, finicky boot sequences to get it to work etc. The system was a bit buggy, with the odd crash here and there. I updated to OCQUIRKS and VIRTUALSMC etc etc. Went to 10.15.2 recently. Tried the newest WEG and LILU and the releases before that. Tried newest and earlier bioses, disabling XMP and AUTO CPU enhancements in BIOS, etc etc etc - No luck.

Now my system's apps just seem to crash all the time randomly and frequently. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong, so maybe someone else can. I posted a few things on this thread a little while back, but and still not fully operational with this build. Any assistance is much appreciated.

I'm running bios f7 (reverted back and forward with bioses to no avail) MacOS 10.15.2, Designare z390, Gigabyte 5700xt 8GB, 9900k, 64GB Vengeance LPX 2666 ram that is one vendor's list for the mobo.

Here's my EFI folder and my /Library/Extensions folder along with my config.plist (serial removed)

Thanks!
Ran a test this morning and got this (iMacPro1,1):

I've got my DSDT patched by MaLD0n and have TeamGroup DDR4 (CAS 14-14-14-31 Timings, Samsung B-die) 3200Mhz memory kit (32GB), but no overclocking of neither CPU nor RAM in BIOS...

Maybe in the future, since now latest Z390 Aorus Xtreme BIOS F9C says: "Fix CPU Vcore and power behavior"
