AMD Radeon Navi GPU

I use VirtualSMC instead of FakeSMC and it's working well.

So you get temp and fan information from your 5700? In what monitoring software?

Care to share your efi?

AFAIK there is no Radon sensor plugin for VirtualSMC. If there is any. I am _highly_ interested.

Guess we’ll just wait and see then! Hopefully soon :)

Hi everyone,
I just upgraded to RX 5700 XT from RX 580. It seems fine after adding the boot flag agdpmod=pikera for the most part, but one problem I am facing is I have my monitor connected via displayPort. While running audio from the displayPort (my monitor has built in speakers), the audio is patchy. There is static in it, and the video too tends to be patchy. @Junologue suggested I disable Port (COM) in the BIOS, but I can not seem to find that option in the BIOS. Are there any suggestions / guidance where to find it in the BIOS of my motherboard?

There should be an option for it, look around for ”serial port” or something

Asus' BIOS are similarly laid out in their motherboards. If you can please tell me where is this option located within your motherboard's BIOS, I can probably locate it in mine.

I’ll check it tomorrow!

AFAIK,

You can download a 14 day trial of iStat Menus to use with Virtual SMC. I'm using VirtualSMC and
SMCprocessor.kext on my machine, and iStat gives me a lot of info about my Radeon RX560, like
GPU temperature, core clock, memory clock, power and frames per second. No fan speed however.

Radeon RX560

And that is the difference. Polaris statistics are natively provided by Apple though IoKit just like with Vega56/64. They stopped doing that with ReadonVII.

Mine is located at Advanced\Onboard Devices Configuration\ at the very bottom it says Serial Port Configuration
