Hi guys. Version 17G66 is just installation version. You have to be connected to Inet and in few minutes you will be asked to install security update. Install this update and you got 17G10021 MacOS High Sierra. Webdriver for 17G10021 is present https://www.tonymacx86.com/nvidia-drivers

I saw this post and decided to give my build another go, I am using a HP 6300 Pro, upgraded to i7 3770, 16gb ram (2x8gb sticks), GT 710 2GB GDDR3 (via HDMI), 250GB Sandisk SSD.

I have followed the High Sierra guide to the "t" and can not get the GT 710 to be recognized. I have attempted multiple Clover configs found both here and on other sites but I keep ending up with a black screen in the end. I have also used the vulgo script as well as the blacklist script by Benjamin dobell. I fresh installed High Sierra using the most up to date (for high Sierra) UniBeast and have gotten to the same stopping point. I just installed the latest security update like the previous poster suggested but I still show build 17G66.

Also it should be noted that I do not use these methods all at the same time. I have to fresh install High Sierra each time because the graphics stop working and flash me screen or black screen.

Try using the built in HD4000 graphics for the install. Get everything working then add the GT 710 after that. The 710 doesn't need web drivers or even Inject Nvidia as it's natively supported.

I guess I forgot to add that, I have tried that with the same results. I know it is me doing something wrong, I just can't find it. The thing that gets me, I can get the HDMI audio working but it still shows 5 or 6mb video memory. I'm banging my head on my keyboard at this point lol.

P.S. Thank you all for everything on this sight. Although frustrating, this has been a fun experience learning something new.

Which guide are you following for the install ?

I followed the High Sierra guide (https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...orking-and-easily-affordable-customac.224812/) but back to the Sierra guide for setting up Unibeast, but I used the Unibeast, Multibeast and Kextbeast for High Sierra all downloaded from the forums and the most up to date version for each along with the most up to date version of Clover Configurator. I downloaded High Sierra from the MAS using an official 2013 MacBook Pro, used it to build the Unibeast installer and the followed the guide step for step. Brand new SSD, bios set up per the guide after restoring defaults and restarting. Installed HS then used Multibeast and picked iMac 13,2 and restarted. Kextbeast for audio, clover config for CPU and to stop injectIntel. I am attaching CC screenshots, maybe I missed something there.

I did learn that under the boot tab in CC if I add nvda_drv=1 it will stop me from booting. I considered trying one more clean install but I decided to ask instead.

Yes, you want to remove that boot flag. Not needed.

After a good nights sleep and sitting at my desk with my coffee doing some searches I have decided to try again with a fresh install. Except this time I am going to try and use Snikis guide for Catalina (go big or go home right?).

Sniki will be posting a revised version of that Catalina guide soon. I would wait a few days before trying it when the new one is posted. 10.15.2 brought some changes that created a need to rewrite that guide. The Unibeast and Multibeast based guide for the 8300 works if you follow it exactly as written and don't do things not in the guide. For example, use the HD4000 only connect to the onboard DP. Adapt that to HDMI if need be. Don't try to install Nvidia web drivers with the GT 710. Sniki's guide is more complicated and requires more attention to details on your part so I'm not confident that will work either if you are not understanding the complete process of making a hackintosh.

I am 100% confident........ in your assessment lol. I took out the GT 710, Opened CC and check marked InjectIntel, plugged into the DP and bada boom I've got hd4000 graphics. I guess I will stick with this until I learn more or become more confident in my direction following. @trs96 I know this guide is a year old now, and there are many like me out there that just seem to miss a step or a simple instruction, but thank you for having the patience and still jumping back in to help. It is much appreciated!
