[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

If you

Well TODO implies a work-in-progress. Apple has a history of updating graphics drivers in successive OS updates. So maybe there's hope in 10.15.3 or maybe someone will stumble upon a fix/workaround.
Well, likely we will have a new iMac with our GPU in the next future so we can be positive. Let’s see what happens with the first betas of 10.15.3

Which specific make/model of the 5700 do you have? You're the second person to verify this fix for the auto-reboot problem.
Sapphire AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT 8gb GDDR6 HDMI / Triple DP (uefi) Full

Interestingly enough the card wouldn't show up in windows on either my machine or my brothers Ryzen 2700 machine. Maybe a defective card? Worked fine on mac except for the freezing.

Are you all experiencing the auto-reboot or freeze after about 6 minutes of inactivity? If not, at what interval? Is the interval consistent?

I haven’t necessarily timed it. But I would say 6-10 mins of inactivity sounds about right. I tested by booting and turning mouse and keyboard off so it couldn’t get a random jolt and moved the mouse with that amount of inactivity screens shuts down and boots back to Clover boot menu.

I would say it is consistent as long as it doesn’t get any exterior activity in mouse and stuff

Yes I am still experiencing it however it is not constant. I have had my computer turned on and logged in since yesterday with no issues, however I am not wanting to restart / log off the computer yet as I am currently downloading and don't want to risk the issues happening again. When I do have the issue, my computer does not reboot, it simply freezes. The freezing will occur after about 5 mins of not touching the keyboard or mouse. I will do some more trouble shooting shortly. Another thing I have notice of which seems to have started at the same time as meet completing my macOS Catalina install, When I log into Windows 10 and go to play Fortnite, the game crashes and / or the screen turns off and loses the signal from the PC. (This never happened prior to me installing MacOS) Could these two issues be related I,e Maybe a setting in the BIOS that was changed to suit MacOS or could the Firmware of the graphics card have been modified by MacOS? Its probably less likely to be the BIOS settings as I have two profiles in the BIOS, one for MacOS and one for Windows 10.

I apologise for my spelling LOL I should have proof read my reply before clicking Post.

Hi @CaseySJ,

How's the audio quality? I have terrible audio quality, continuous audio distortion.

Also seems that when using layout-id 16 then names for front panel and green line out are switched.

You may try other Layout IDs such as 26 or 27. Also, search this thread for “front panel audio” by member=CaseySJ and you’ll find my view on this repeated over and over and over again! :)

Thank you for suggestion!

How I convert layout-id?

<data>EAAAAA==</data>

How 16 is converted into EAAAAA==?

And hot do I convert 26 or 27?

Code:
        <key>Properties</key>
        <dict>
            <key>PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1f,0x3)</key>
            <dict>
                <key>AAPL,slot-name</key>
                <string>Built In</string>
                <key>device_type</key>
                <string>Audio Controller</string>
                <key>layout-id</key>
                <data>EAAAAA==</data>
                <key>model</key>
                <string>Realtek ALC1220-VB</string>
            </dict>
        </dict>

Edit

Already figured out. I was confused because of the length.

26 = GgAAAA==
27 = GwAAAA==
