[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

@CaseySJ did you tried OcQuirks 9? I always get an allocation error.

ERROR allocating 0x119e1 pages at 0x0000000006257000 alloc type 2
Couldn't allocate runtime area
Boot failed: will sleep for 10 seconds before exiting...

Note: I tried AptioMemoryFix.efi and all others Aptiofix.efi's but I always get this type error;

AMF: No slide values are usable! Falling back to 0 with 0x17771000 bytes!
ERROR allocating 0x119e1 pages at 0x0000000006257000 alloc type 2

Yes, it's working on my system along with IGPU and Sidecar
I don't know if it's your problem, but I use AptiomemoryFix not the latest FwRuntimeServices.efi and OcQuirks-4.efi
I found NVRAM didn't seem to work with that memory management system
Worth a try, but a lot of people don't seem to be able to get AptiomemoryFix to work. It always has for me - why I don't know
I was using AptiomemoryFix first that didn't work so I switch to FwRuntimeServices.efi and OcQuirks-4.efi and ATV still didn't work

I just noticed the F8 BIOS update. Is it worth upgrading? I'm running Mojave. Any advantages? Sure does look cooler lol

Is there a way to show the option ROMs on this motherboard?

I have a RAID card that no longer shows the boot ROM on the card (it still works), but I'd love to see the cards bios just in case their are problems.

OcQuirks cannot be used as-is. It must be compiled with a specific set of parameters as listed in the OcQuirks-4 experiment post.

Do OcQuirks-4 plus FwRuntimeServices work when slide=0 and EmuVariableUefi are present?

If your system is running normally, then it’s best to leave it alone despite the new interface. I was on F6 for a very long time. Never updated to F7. But when F8 was released, it was out of a sense of duty to this thread that I updated.

Have you tried enabling CSM Support and going through the additional parameters that subsequently become available?

I am pretty new to this, but I followed this guide and got up and running. Everything worked great until I updated to 10.15.2. Now every time it goes to sleep for an extended amount of time I get a black screen and it freezes. I have to restart and everything is fine until it sleeps again. I am using a 9600k, Sapphire pulse Vega 56. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, I tried your OcQuirks-4 from Catalina Guide post it worked.

Could you please share the link for the OcQuirks-4 experiment post? I wonder whats active in your OcQuirks-4?

Another question is EmuVariableUefi.efi mandatory for Z390 motherboard?

Have you tried disabling XMP Profile 1 or reducing memory speed to 2933MHz or 2666MHz?
