[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Guys, is anyone here who installed with the Catalina mini guide (OcQuirks-4 and FwRuntimeServices) using a newish Wacom tablet with actual drivers?

I got an Intuos M here but I am so afraid of another install or whatever hasle (its christmas time) that I better ask before and tame the impatient beast in me.

And yes, I got a fully bootable backup on a very speedy ssd ;-)

Hi,

Yes I use both! It works great.

I only have a small problem when using the Wacom in Preview.app. It uses a right click from that point.
I use this line of code to restart the Wacom Driver and continue to work. I don't know if it is a Hack of Wacom driver problem. I think the last.
The code: ps -ef | grep WacomTabletDriver | grep MacOS | awk '{ system("kill -9 " $2) }'

Thank you. Installation worked flawless. Tablet is working fine when tethered but lags when connected via bluetooth which makes it unusable. With my Macbook it´s fine so I blame the FENVI... It turned out to be the fault of the buggy wacom firmware. There is a thread over at the wacom Europe Forums which exactly describes the laggy and sluggish feeling of the pen connected via BT when using another BT device. In my case I use an apple BT keyboard and mouse. It has something to do with the BT stack and the order of the device pairing. When I switch off my mouse tablet is working great via BT.

if you look at the mini guide he has (9) kexts in other. I would download his files and compare this to yours

I went over those but there's nothing there. So strange.

Can I use your guide with I9 9900KF? It does not have IGPU but I did not found other guide. What should I change in order to do it with Radeon RX 560 instead of internal graphic card(wich I do not have integrated in CPU).

@CaseySJ, I went and grabbed another PSU RM850x as well as 2x16GB 2400MHz RAM sticks. But now I'm following same process as before. It gets to second reboot, and tells me macOS cannot be installed on machine?

I’m going to attempt to install Windows on the machine later tonight,. Where can I find what settings I would need to adjust to attempt the install?
I had the same issue with Catalina install at second reboot, then it would shut down, I fix it by doing the install with an rx480. The MSI rx 5700 xt gaming would cause it to stop and shut down, hope it helps

I used kext utility, but I haven't update AppleALC in /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/others
I solved my problem removing "shikigva=60" from boot section in my config.plist with cover configurator

I would suggest doing a fresh install with the mini guide. I did this and the system works and wakes fine (have tested for several days on and it always wakes up) sleep is perfect
A fresh install does not solve the issue. I had the same issue with a Ryzentosh I built this summer and the same GPU/RAM...
