Hi there,

Recently I replaced a network card from BCM94352Z to BCM94360CS2 which has native support, but the hackintosh can't sleep automatically. I got some info by "pmset -g assertions" command.

Code:
Assertion status system-wide:
   BackgroundTask 1
   ApplePushServiceTask 0
   UserIsActive 1
   PreventUserIdleDisplaySleep 0
   PreventSystemSleep 0
   ExternalMedia 0

Any help will be appreciated! Thanks!!

EDIT:
  • My hackintosh could sleep manually by the press of sleep in the Apple icon menu on the top-left conner.
  • In the few minutes after login sleep could work.
  • Not sleeping in this case means display could be turned off, however the computer won't.
  • I notice there are some people talking about "com.apple.parsec-fbf.flush" which is the service for siri (indeed, siri was already disabled on my mac). I think it may be a bug on Catalina 10.15.2.

Here is my EFI folder. It looks like a problem of bluetooth and I suspect there is wrong config in SSDT. Any help will be appreciated! Thanks!!

I have the same sleep problem with Catalina 10.15.2. With 10.15.1 everything was working fine. This basically means that I will not yet embrace Catalina on a full time basis and will therefore stick with Mojave 10.14.6 for the time being.

I can't agree anymore. I don't find any workaround on google so far, indeed nobody talks about this. It seems that what can I do is only waiting for the next released patiently. However, the bad news is the bug wasn't fixed in the beta of 10.15.3 released yesterday.

I have the same exact issue. com.apple.parsec-fbf.flush is preventing the system from auto sleep even though I disabled Siri. The only way I can get the system to auto sleep is by going into Activity Monitor and killing the parent process. In your case it would be pid 316 from your log. A system restart will relaunch com.apple.parsec-fbf.flush so you'll have to find the pid and kill it again for auto sleep to work. That is as far as I was able to diagnose, hopefully they'll be a fix or better solution.

Thanks for your reply! I will try it later.

Hi, could you provide more details about which processes I should terminate? I tried to kill a process named parsec-fbf by “kill -9”, however it relaunched again. So what is parent process you mentioned above?

EDIT: The Parent process in my case is "launchd" which couldn't be terminated.

Can you try killing pid 316(UserEventAgent)? or whatever the new process id is and then double check with pmset -g assertions for any background task.

Oops, I made a mistake in the pid that I should kill. It works eventually.

Awesome! Hopefully a permanent fix will be available soon. It's super annoying.
Thanks for the temporary resolution.
