What version of macOS have you installed?

(I don't post my EFI or config.plist files as you don't learn how to debug your installation.)
10.15.1
Before that, I had never encountered such behavior, everything started with a half kick (not counting any triviality)
Now everything fell on apfs_module_start:1683, and how to get patched aml's if i cant boot, I have no idea (and what to do next, but now I successfully booted along with SSDT-EC.aml)

I want to see the folder to see the installed drivers, kexts, patches, etc. Maybe I am missing something important ...

  1. Create an EFI folder. Make sure it has the SSDT-EC.aml file.
  2. Put it on the EFI partition of a USB flash drive.
  3. Boot from the USB flash drive.
  4. Fix the EFI on your boot drive.

Thank you, I already know that :D

How to get this same SSDT-EC.aml, if the system does not boot in principle, that is the question?
Is this a feature specifically for this motherboard? On all my others, the USB limit fix was corny enough ...

By the way, I generated it, now the second monitor for HDMI does not work ...

Never mind. I just do tomorrow a new clean EFI with done SSDT-EC.aml. Thanks everyone.

If you create a working EFI and put it on a USB flash drive, you can boot from the USB flash drive and fix your existing install. No need to start fresh.

You can even use Windows to create your USB booter.

Hello! Nice tuto, thanks! Everything is OK but not totally. :) On "About This Mac" my GTX 1070 is 8191MB (perfect) but on Unigine Heaven only 256MB! My score is only 2067... (i7 6700k / Maximus VIII Hero / 16GB / SSD and GTX 1070)

Any idea to save me! 'Cause I suppose in game that will be the same problem.

Thanks !

Hey after a new try with your settings (medium fhd) (I work in same time the first loop) I've got 4k score but still 256 mo... any idea ? thanks bros ! (and sorry for my English I'm French guy ;) )

Ok I've got my answer. It's because I've got a dual screen setup. With only one screen I score 2.5K in extreme config with tessalation extreme and full screen fhd. Disregard my last answer it's may be a bug for the 256mo.

Hey @Stork - great guide, I wish I had it all those years ago when building the exact same machine :¬)

May I ask a question which is over my head? I know you don't like to post your config.plist as to encourage learning. I have been searching—and searching—to find the answer, but I cannot.

Since using a SSDT for the 980 and Mac Pro 6,1 definition, wake seems to be working (no black screen). Onboard audio is disabled as I use an external interface for audio, and on occasion, it has stopped working upon wake, so I dropped EAPDFix.kext into L/E as I read @pastrychef recommending it. I think it's worked.

The question: I have working power management (1.2Ghz idle and it jumps about when under various load states), and I have no idea how :¬)

I was wondering if using ssdtPRgen (with a 4.5Ghz overclock) would help make wake/sleep more stable. And if so, what I'd need to change in my config (attached) before dropping in the SSDTs.

Happy to donate some beer/food money for help clearing up the config and getting sleep/wake stable. I've put hours (and hours!) into it and I'm no better off. Things have changed since this build too (Lilu/WG etc), so it's quite difficult to keep up with what's what :¬)

@Yoga, unfortunately, I'm not at MyHero's location as I'm spending time in warm weather. So, I'm responding to the best of my knowledge.

The Intel Power Management chart's performance seems to be normal. I don't know if the ssdtPRgen script will help your sleep/wake. IIRC, ssdtPRgen is no longer needed for our processor. However, you can see if ssdtPRgen will create a SSDT and try it.

I wish I can help more, but, as the real estate brokers say, "Location, location, location." Maybe @pastrychef can add some insight.
