AMD Radeon Navi GPU

You need a working EFI folder on your USB flash drive. Then, once you are booted in to macOS, you can replace the non-working EFI folder on your startup drive with the good one.

I'm still not quite sure on what the "magic recipe" is for RX 5700 (XT)s. Different users seem to require different settings.
OK. So I changed my install USB to version 10.15.2 instead of 10.15.1 (which was the installed macOS).
Booted from USB and then choose Catalina disk form Clover.
Had to use terminal “sudo diskutil diskXsX to mount the EFI since EfimounterV3 only works in 32 bit.
I then took the EFI folder from USB and swapped it entirely with the previous folder since it had a lot of old stuff from my older build with GTX 960 4GB.
I then installed update 10.15.2 with a couple of reboots and waaaaay to long black screen periods (which scared me a little).
Now running 10.15.2 silky smooth. Wuhuuu!! Thanks for the pointer.

This is 64 bit.

During all tests, may be once, I have had the situation with 1080 ti (no display connected). It's not a problem to start the MacOS under Catalina.
You use the RTX with Windows I presume ?

Thanks for answering, I appreciate it.

No, no Windows at all. I am trying to understand if it is viable to have a system in Mac Os where you use an AMD card for the displays, and an Nvidia card purely for computational purposes (using its CUDA and Tensor cores for machine learning applications).

Do you guys have get GPU information with Fakesmc? like temp and fan speed for 5700? Vega64 was working well but 5700xt not showing any.

Sorry for the bad news :

I use VirtualSMC instead of FakeSMC and it's working well.

I also had freezes with my AMD card until I deactivated everything that seemed to be related to PCIe power saving in the bios.

I recently built my first Hackintosh, I'm using the Sapphire RX 5770 XT. So far I have managed to get one DP working and the HDMI port. I do however have three screens so I would be ideal to get a second DP working.

I have found that on 10.15.2 there seems to be some stability issues for me where buy it will boot up fine, but after 15 minutes or so the system will lock up and some graphical artifacting will occur and require a forced reboot. I have Lilu 1.3.5 installed. I haven't been using WEG or boot Args. Any ideas why this is locking up ?
