Fix incorrect time in Windows + OSX dual boot

Should I make a dedicated separate post? But if I do, I don't know what other information I could add to help show the differences between my problem and this one.

I think I figured it out. Ive asked RehabMan if it was correct on the post above, but I think the bios should be
reading non local time (UTC) also known as GMT for daylight savings time reasons. But if you run nothing but
windows, they don't want you to be confused by that so they make the bios time read as local as well.

Hi, i followed this guide and it worked.
Then i've installed Debian 9.4 and it f***ed up both Windows' and Mac's Time, so I guess (?) it has Local Time too, do you have any idea on how to set it to UTC as I did for Windows?

See the Debian docs for setting the time. And any desktop environment you are running.

The attachment in the first post worked perfectly for me. Thank you!!

Thought it might be worth mentioning that 64-bit versions of Windows 10 need the setting entered as a QWORD, not a DWORD - at least this was the case for me, as DWORD did not work.

Here is a link for reference where I found this information:

(note: it is an Ubuntu-based article, but that doesn't make a difference in this case, since it's the Windows side that is relevant here.)

In my case, this was part of the solution to my ethernet not working on my Hackintosh...
I've searched the www forever to finally find that because the clock is incorrect, my ethernet can't connect. It doesn't make any sense to me. Adjusting the clock in BIOS by 1 hour (I live in UTC+1), and rebooting fixed my ethernet. Every time I boot into windows again, I have to do this little trick, while just rebooting my hackintosh keeps my ethernet intact.

For the record, on Windows, the ethernet always works. No bios adjustment needed.

I did and working like a charm, but in BIOS time is incorrect :(
