Will this one work too?
If it was never used in a Mac that Apple made then no, it won't.

Here's a list of broadcom cards Apple has used in Macs.
  • M.2: BCM943602CS - native WiFi/ac and BT4LE (3 antennas)
  • M.2: BCM94360CS2 - native WiFi/ac and BT4LE (2 antennas)
  • M.2: BCM94352Z/AzureWave AW-CE162NF/DW1560 - supports WiFi/ac and BT4LE
  • M.2: BCM94350ZAE/DW1820A - native WiFi/ac and BT4LE
  • Half mini: BCM94360HMB/AzureWave AW-CB160H - native WiFi/ac and BT4LE (3 antennas)
  • Half mini: BCM94352 HMB/AzureWave AW-CE123H - supports WiFi/ac and BT4LE

Damn already ordered it and can't cancel it anymore . I'm sure there will be some kext to make it compatible. Broadcom cards that were natively used by Apple work out the box. Intel cards are completely incompatible. But I heard it's possible on other forums to make all the Broadcom cards work by using some kexts

Thank you kindly for awesome descriptive info on those cards, gona try the third m.2 to see how it works on my y530

If you are interested, you can try this EFI, but it is very unstable.
#Updates
on my y530 it failed to reboot with that EFI as i've tried multiple times, but oddly i've tried same EFI from XiaM4095, who kindly gave to us to test on, on my older lenovo z70. I know its totally different smbios, which i adjusted to its system and ACPI is designed with y530 in mind but oddly it worked on Lenovo z70 and it booted find once i put the EFI folder onto hard drive's EFI. i don't know the technical programing like others do, but i do know there is problem with sound system and accelerate with graphics on y530 or so. but in lenovo z70 i've tried replacing appleALC.kext with AppleHDA (older sound kext) and it worked onto lenovo-z70. also it keep rebooting fine when when i setup BIOS to legacy with UEFI first

so point i'm trying to make is that maybe those suggestion of replacing AppleHDA And changing bios to legacy with UEFI first would make it better for y530? i'm gona test run it with new wifi card (M.2: BCM94350ZAE/DW1820A - native WiFi/ac and BT4LE) which i'm waiting for more native run onto this catalina system and gona try out with those setup as i've tried on z70.

Thank you very much for the updates. Let us know how you get on after trying the BIOS settings and the new WiFi card. I'd be very glad to have Catalina working on my Y530.

The same EFI I tested on y540 and Lenovo p52. Everything is normal. I still feel that the hardware is not compatible.Thank you very much for trying, I hope you can make a breakthrough. By the way, in the power-on state, press FN + o + d at the same time, and then restart to open the BIOS advanced option.

For me, fn + O is enough to open advanced options.

What's the battery life you guys are getting? I get only ~2hrs with normal usage. Wondering if it's just me or it's normal in MacOS

Same here

Can you open advanced options in BIOS menu? My BIOS version is 52 but I can't open advanced menu.
