[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

I have been fighting the same issue for a while. Latest BIOS and Catalina 10.15.1 didn't help. What I found out worked for me to fix it was to change SMBIOS to Macmini8,1 and unplug all USB devices (namely tablet which I suspect was waking up NUC from sleep). It works fine after that.
Great suggestion!

I've been getting a nasty video stutter, really it bogging down everything, since the update to Catalina. I've noticed it on YouTube, and it probably exists elsewhere too.

Anyone else have something similar? Likely fixes?

I really haven't but other users have and had luck with updating WEG.kext downloaded from this site in he download section. See below from the home page here:

What we know about 10.15.0 so far...
  • macOS Build 19A583
  • 32-bit Apps will not run on macOS Catalina.
  • Updated Intel, NVIDIA, and AMD graphics drivers
    • NVIDIA Alternate Graphics Drivers have NOT been updated for macOS Mojave/Catalina. Users of NVIDIA Maxwell or Pascal graphics cards should stay on macOS High Sierra.
    • Catalina Graphics Support: AMD Radeon HD 7xxx and higher, Intel HD 4000 and higher, NVIDIA 6xx and 7xx 'Kepler'
    • Intel HD 630 graphics users may need to add -disablegfxfirmware at Clover boot screen
  • Updated audio drivers.
    • Updated AppleALC, Lilu, and WhateverGreen may be required. Download here.
  • Updated USB drivers
    • New Raise Port Limit patch required for some systems. See here for details.
Testing is now underway- this post will be updated. Good luck, and let us know how it goes! Report your

Ooooh, perfect. Thank you! Time to try out sidecar, again.

Does anyone get screen flashing on their HDMI 2.0 monitor?
I just got a Samsung U32J590 today and tried connecting it through the HDMI 2.0 port (not the displayport, which works fine btw). At the beginning all was well, but then I started getting green flashes every once in a while until it finally started going back and forth to signal (with a green tint)/no signal.
Any chance this is a known issue and has a fix?

I am suspecting it is my Asus USB bluetooth dongle to blame, but unfortunately this has to stay connected since I am using my Apple BT Keyboard/Mouse. It is a real shame that no solution for the inbuilt bluetooth firmware issue has been found (yet, fingers crossed).

Any chance you have a bad cable?
