[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

My understanding is not without modifying the SSDT that patches which USB ports get used, Rehabman wasn't using them so they weren't included initially. I uploaded another users ACPI/ patched folder that should enable them.
I have downloaded your changed SSDT. I'm still getting my head about editing SSDT and config.plist very complicated. Trying to reverse engineer the files that make our NUC's work. Time consuming. I realise without the initial work and your keeping things updated when a patch breaks things we are in trouble.

Haha, said it before I'll say it again, you sir, are a scholar & a gent. Just used that patched file and replaced the contents with it and bang now my 2 port USB NUC lid is now working in Mac OS. Thanks!!
So it was the serial number causing the problem or was it the updated kexts that fixed things for you?

No help for my random shut downs and high heat? I took the whole thing apart and checked for dust buildup in the fan assembly (read about that on other threads) but there was none. I actually think it’s some kind of software issue. No one else is having this problem?
I replied to sakiv's post. His issue is to do with turbo boost. Way to fix it is change cooling profile from Balanced which is default to Quiet it makes the turbo boost and fan noise more conservative while not effecting temps. Do this Bios change first.
Boot your NUC. let it load everything and wait five minutes. Make sure nothing is open ie no triangles under your dock icons right click and close everything. Make sure to have rehabmans fakesmc hwmontioring kexts in the kexts/other folder so you can see cpu and other temps. download them from latest file here. Drag the hardware monitoring app into applications folder.
If your base temps are at idol 35 to 40 celcius then your temps are ok. You will get spikes in temp up to 95 celcius if browsing the web etc that's normal. If that is ok then your problem is possiblly hardware related ie memory related but worth making sure base temps are ok first.

That's cool.

Hi folks, yes I know, I'm probably going to catch some slack for this, but...
I couldn't get my M.2 broadcom wifi/BT card working in Catalina, nor the accelerated graphics. So...

I did a fresh install and went back to Mojave.

So, I used the EFI folder from this forum (latest from reposted #1582, Sevift package for NUC7) Got it to boot, but guess what? Same issues :O

No Wifi/BT, and no accel. graphics.

So, I guess I'm back to square one, but with Mojave. Just a note, when I used Rehabman's original process way back when, at least my wifi/BT card worked (don't remember if graphics worked). Not sure what the delta is, so maybe some help there would be great. I didn't run any of his scripts, etc for this new build, so I don't have any conflicts in kext locations. It's all clean.

Any help appreciated at this point.

Firstly the NUC7 EFI doesn't have support for the wifi/bt card that is something extra. Make sure to update your kexts that should fix your cpu identification.
Use Kext Updater it is very simple and puts the new kexts in a folder kext-updates folder on your desktop. Just copy them to your kexts other folder.
Here is the link for the kext updater software. Really easy to use.

Now @HedgeHog2k just got his NUC8 working for the M.2 wifi/BT working and the kexts and additions he should help you with. Wait for him to post. I think he used this guide but he might have updated info. He is using Catalina I know that.
Here is the Guide that for wifi/BT have a read to see if anything is of use until Hedehog2k posts. https://github.com/sarkrui/NUC8i7BEH-Hackintosh-Build or @Leesureone might be able to help.

Just to make sure you are using the NUC7 efi from this link:

So it was the serial number causing the problem or was it the updated kexts that fixed things for you?

iMessage is still not functional, i ran out of time last night to redo serial numbers.

HDMI issue - still to early to tell but after updating both kexts i've not had a repeat of the issue.

Extra USB ports - Now fully functional after using the PAtched file that Leesureone posted.

I am running Mojave on my NUC8i7beh and I am experiencing this weird issue with sleep: when I try to put the machine to sleep for the first time, the monitor sleeps OK, but 1-2 seconds after the NUC itself goes to sleep, it wakes up again by itself (monitor still stays off). If I press a key/click the mouse, the screen wakes up and I can log back in. All sleep attempts after that work fine (monitor sleeps and a few seconds later the NUC goes to sleep). Wake from sleep is also working OK.

Any ideas what might be causing this?

Also, has anyone actually managed to get *hibernation* working? It is a feature I would love to have, since I take my NUC to my office every day. If someone is interested in debugging this I'd be happy to share my findings so far (after a lot of experimentation).
I have been fighting the same issue for a while. Latest BIOS and Catalina 10.15.1 didn't help. What I found out worked for me to fix it was to change SMBIOS to Macmini8,1 and unplug all USB devices (namely tablet which I suspect was waking up NUC from sleep). It works fine after that.

Try this EFI folder, it may not get you accelerated graphics but it should restore Wifi and Bluetooth. To get accelerated graphics you may have download Rehabmans GitHub files. Let me know an we can go from here. Can you please verify you have a Kaby Lake 7th generation processor?
