Also, idk if I'm late to the party, but macOS Catalina runs great on this machine. The only extra thing I had to do was add the 'Change EC0 to EC' patch to Clover config.plist.

I also upgraded mine to Catalina 10.15.1. It runs good then crashes (reboots after around 15 mins). I have updated my kext files and still have the issue. When on Mojave 10.14.6 it never crashed on me. I used sakoulas detailed guide when installing Mojave on this machine. Did you run into any similar issues when you upgraded to Catalina?

Thanks...

Hi there,

I have not upgrade to catalina yet. I will wait one more month to make sure that the OS will be more stable.

Most likely you need newer version of clover, the clover modules and kexts. How many monitors do you run with the computer and which exact model is it?

Also you can follow the first post on this thread to configure it since it is reported that it runs stable on catalina.

Lastly use https://github.com/black-dragon74/OSX-Debug and attach the output to see if there is some type of obvious problem.

An advice to all who plan to keep on using their HP 800/600 G2 TWR for a while: exchange the 280W power supply with the HP original 400W and add a small RX570. You can get an used card and the power supply for less than 200 bugs, works from Sierra to Catalina nearly perfect.

Perhaps someone here can give we an advice on how to get real S3 sleep. That's the only thing which is not working. Monitor off during sleep is perfect, also wakeup and power down. pmset -g assertions does not point to a root cause.

Hi. I am trying to install catalina on my EliteDesk 800 G2 mini. Could anyone kindly share the config.plist file for booting clover please. I am unable to load installation as I get kernel panic.

config.plist and the list of kexts would massively help.

Just installed Mojave yesterday on my EliteDesk 800 G2 Mini. Works quite smooth even in 4k resolution. What doesn´t work yet is BT, WIFI and internal Audio. Just wonder if I am the only one with the "Mini" build?

Hello no you are not alone, I just had one and I want to make a hackintosh under catalina

Hello
I am French and I followed this video:

on the other hand on catalina we must add SUDO like this:
spctl --master-disable
sudo mount -uw /
killall Finder

Keep me informed

***FIXED***

Hey guys. Has anyone managed to get the sd card header to work and be recognised? I want to use it as a usb header for my WiFi/Bluetooth card. I had it show up once for the Bluetooth but subsequently disappeared after a reboot. I made a custom ssdt for the usbs but after reboot it doesn’t show anymore.

Any ideas?
@PaintArm2
I'm looking to get a PCIe adapter for a macbook air wifi+bluetooth card and install it in the HP 800 G2 (running Ubuntu...I haven't got around to trying hackintosh yet!). I understand that for bluetooth I'll need to connect the adapter to a usb header on the motherboard, and I thought of using the SD card header as you have done, but it sounds like it won't work? Does "FIXED" mean you managed to fix it, and if so how?

I finally got my EliteDesk 800 G2 TWR running with Dual Monitors (see below)

I tried to follow @sakoula GitHub but kept ending up with boot loops before even booting into the installer.
I did a vanilla install - Created USB with UniBeast, installed clover using Clover Configurator and then used @PaintArm2 EFI folder.

All worked with Graphics Acceleration but no dual monitors.

I chatted with sakoula who took time of his own to try help me figure out the dual monitor thing, but we came up with nothing. We reverted to his EFI and Kext's and made a bit of progress but it still did not work. We think its because Im using DP-HDMI or DP-DVI cable (no adapters) and not DP-DP.

However, happened to have a Lenovo USB3.0 laptop dock that has DisplayLink standard. I installed the generic DisplayLink macOS drivers, rebooted and now have Dual Monitors working! W00000T

Only think that is missing is higher USB limit but TBH I may not need them anyway, especially now that the dock also has USB

So once again, a huge thank you to @sakoula for (first of all) putting together your GitHub guide and also trying to help me out with my build - what a champ.

@sakoula
i already read all the articles in this thread since i also try to make my 800G2 Mini PC work with MacOS.
I tried installing High Sierra, Mojave & Catalina but couldn't make any of them work.
I encountered all the typical issues but finally got stuck at booting issue (keeps rebooting 2Min before installation finishes).

To make the 800G2Mini work with Mojave or even Catalina, can i use this guide above?
Which files do i have to use?
Can you attach the latest EFI folder you have? (so that i don't encounter the issues with GPU, Audio, USB, Screens)

Im trying to install MacOS since 2 days and i am getting nuts.. hope you can help
