I guess you are running GeekBench 5, which changed the scoring base and reports scores 75% lower than GeekBench 4
I was going crazy too, just download GeekBench 4.

What you will read is stick with Windows 10 there was a performance hit using the Mac as opposed to Win 10.

If I disable "PCIe ASPM Support", Apple Arcade game won't run at all. But Steam game run just fine. Already tried with different memoryfix kext still with same result.

That is very weird. All disabling does is stop it powering down to low power mode when not being used to save power. Why it should stop something working is a mystery. Let us know if you work it out.

Folks, I've recently upgraded my NUC7 to Catalina by following the guide in post 109. However, I can't get my bluetooth to work. I understand there are compatibility issues, but I had it working under Mojave. The card I am using is a Lenovo 20-200480.
I have tried the various versions of Brcm patches, and the closest I have gotten is to see bluetooth show up, but have it not function. Meaning, it displays my devices, but does not "do" anything.

BTW, WiFi works just fine.

Any help appreciated.

Catalina has changed things big time. the root system volume is NOW read only and therefore not writable. This breaks official driver installation.

Read this post it has a terminal command to temporarily make it writeable then try and install Mojave drivers again.

Upon reboot system volume goes back to being read only.

Catalina seems to be a read only kext system so modifying kexts to make older hardware work doesn't seem to be possible at this point. If you don't find anything there contact Lenovo support for Catalina updated drivers for Mac.

To get my Wifi working I had to find someone who made new install drivers for my realtek wifi adapter like https://github.com/chris1111/Wireless-USB-Adapter-Clover so do some searching someone might have done similar for your card.

I haven't had any problems with my microSD @Leesureone linked it to me a couple of months ago. I use for GoPro footage mainly. I took a look and it is is formatted MBR fat32 like a usb is formatted so maybe that is why it works reliably. See screenshot of partition details. I'll see if there is...

Wow it turns out you can run Windows 10 from a USB drive (we live in the future!). So running in Windows, the video is very stable. I updated the HDMI and BIOS anyway. Still getting massive flickers during video decoding in macOS. Not sure what I can do at this point. Might have to join the dark side.

The beauty of having USB 3.1 is running Windows 10 from USB external USB 3.0 enclosure it is has similar read and write speeds as using a 2.5" SATA SSD hard drive. I have benchmarked both and much the same.
I have cloned my M.2 Catalina Hard Drive using Carbon Copy Cloner then you just copy EFI folder to empty EFI partition. That becomes my backup to test patches etc so they don't brick my internal M.2 CAtalina.

i.e: I booted the external cloned USB hard drive and updated to 10.15.1 and if it works I do the internal etc.

Also if you run out of space in you NUC you can boot other OS externally without penality. I currently have four SATA Crucial MX500gb drives running Linux, Mojave and my backup Catalna.

Internally Window 10 and M.2 has CAtalina.

Can you try this config.plist? It eliminates a boot argument having to do with HDMI. Sorry, I can’t remember, did you ever try a different monitor?

@Leesureone, you rock! It is the screen. When I hooked up my LG monitor, things work just fine - no flickers.

So the culprit is Epson Powerlite 3010 projector - not compatible with Hackintosh (unless there's a magic kext you can recommend to me). And it makes sense that nobody else had this issue - it's a pretty uncommon setup. A quick google search tells me I'm the first person on the planet to try it.

I'd never think a screen would make a difference. And there was so much variance with different plists, kexts, and macOS version, and more noticeably - different video files, I was sure the solution lays somewhere on the graphics hardware drivers side.

I wonder if anybody else had issue with various monitors/screens and found solutions.

You would be surprised, display is one of the most common issues posted about in the various forums for different and more or less complex reasons. Display port is generally reccomended as the output of choice for best results but not always an option. There have also quite a few reported monitor problems relating to 4K resolution, some work, some don't, but I've never seen any overview of why. Just basic suggestions of what to try.
