Anybody have a sudden outburst of sleep issues with their Z370 + Catalina? My system worked perfectly on 10.14.6. It would go to sleep by itself, wake up with PowerNap, do its thing, and then go back to sleep. It would also wake fairly quickly with one click or a shake of the mouse. Then, without changing anything (aside from updating clover and kexts), it stopped going back to sleep after waking up from PowerNap under 10.15.0. I then upgraded to 10.15.1 hoping that would help. Now my system won't even go to sleep; it will go to sleep but then wake up two seconds later. And, as far as I can tell, it won't sleep after inactivity now either. I'm so frustrated at this. I just want my computer to sleep properly again!!
I ended up doing two things today that *seem* to have fixed the problem. First, I redid my USB mapping.
I also ran: pmset -g log | grep -e "Wake.*due to" in terminal. Found out after some googling and experimentation that my wireless mouse was preventing sleep. Never had a problem with it in Mojave but for whatever reason, Catalina doesn't like it. Unplugging the usb dongle before sleeping did the trick. That said, it could be a bigger issue with my USB port because even when it was turned off, with the dongle in, my computer wouldn't sleep. Anyway, now, as far as I can tell, sleep is working again.
Someone else mentioned that for some reason their EHCI Handoff had been set to disabled in the BIOS. That was causing them a lot of trouble and setting it back to enabled fixed the problem for them. Mine was enabled though so that wasn't the cause.
