So is everything running well for you guys now?
I have a weird issue of getting red lines and distorted images across my desktop wallpaper when using the dynamic option. It only affects the image itself and not the interface. Additionally, it only affects the Catalina and Mojave dynamic options but not the third one. Also, switching from native 1440p resolution down removes the problem.

The flickering in the top right corner also persists, however, I made a clean Windows install and it happens there as well. So I am getting the card replaced.

Do you think the glitch to dynamic option is related to the faulty card, or is it another issue with compatibility?

I don't understand... What dynamic option?

If you are also seeing artifacting in Windows, odds are that the card might be bad.

When selecting wallpaper in settings, there are three dynamic options that change based on time of day, Catalina and Mojave have this issue, but the third one does not.

This is only accuring with this desktop wallpapers, nothing in the interface and not in Windows.

Oh! Okay...

I think I've read of other 5700 XT users experiencing the same thing. I don't recall seeing any fix yet...

Ok, what is weird is even when using any of the still images from their library that have the dynamic option still creates this glitch. But all other images are fine.

Other than this everything is working fine. I have swapped the EFI folder for the one that I was using originally and only kept your config file.

The only kexts I have are WEG, FakeSMC, Lilu, and USBInject. The system still boots, not exactly sure what specifically in the config that fixes the booting problem, but I would guess it would be something in the kernel and kext patches section.

Thanks for the help.

Mine has been fine with Dynamic option, but it’s 1080p. Maybe try fixres?

Yeah. my 1080p second monitor also works fine. maybe issue with the drivers for the card with 2k resolution.

Most likely, this is only 15.1 so I’m sure they’ll get things worked out by 15.6. This is also the first time in MacOS for GDDR6 memory. I’m happy so far with the support. We have gone through this before with the Polaris, Vega and R VII cards as well. It will get better.

For the red lines, I have some more observations posted somewhere else in the forum.

Currently, I have no solution to it and I am having other issues such as system freezes randomly.

I haven't tried the dynamic option yet; I'm just happy to be functional.

I spent the day playing with various hardware configurations using my mini-itx machine. It was my 9700K causing the problems. It ran on my mini-itx board without any modifications (which had a 9900K in it as a mini server). So, I started swapping components from the z390-i to the z390-e. RAM... still froze. That only left CPU or mobo. So I swapped the 9900K in to z390-e and was off to the races. I set it up as the iMac19,1 using the iGPU and haven't had any trouble since. I adjusted my fans in the BIOS, added the AI-overclock, and haven't seen any problems in the last three hours. I've hit it with geekbench, cinebench, valley, etc. Hackintool seems quite pleased and recognizes everything well.

I assume it's just this specific 9700K, but I've had it in various builds throughout the last year and didn't think it had problems. I even had it running a mojave build at one point - but I didn't use it much because... it was freezing. Derp.

So it seems like everyone has been correct. Running the latest kexts does seem to work great with the 5700XT. I just had a bad proc. :(
