macOS 10.15 Catalina is Now Available on the Mac App Store

I got hang on apft_module_start when upgrade :(

Hi. What version of clover do you have installed? What does your graphics card system throw, does AMD Radeon RX 470 4gb still say or has 470/570 added to it? Ask all this because I have an RX 470 that shows me gradients and shadows with defects. In Mojave this does not happen.
Clover v5070 -- same as with Mojave pre-update. I tried to change as little as possible.

Graphics shows "Radeon RX 470/570 4 GB", although I am not noticing defects (maybe text isn't so sharp as it was)?

Sleep/wake and shutdown problems persist with USB keyboard/mouse. I use a KVM switch -- will pull that to see if things change.

Time Machine problem appears to be happening on real Macs too.

iTunes/Music issue involves adding server files to library -- didn't care before. Still buggy -- beachball.

Upgraded to 10.15.

Issues:
- Black screen after last boot. Solved by adding injection for AMD drivers (don't necessary before on 10.14)
- No sound on motherboard. Not solved. Have all new kext installed. Have HDMI sound - so, for now it's ok.
- Lost Intel bluetooth on motherboard. Not solved. On 10.14 I have run Win10 in Parallels once after each boot to initiate BT from motherboard. Now it doesn't help. Have all USB ports. BT is visible in sysinfo. Decided to by USB BT adapter.
- Google Chrome doesn't working anymore AFTER NEW UPDATE FOR 10.15 (near to 1 Gb download). Not solved. Crying. Any suggestions?
Can you send your EFI folder, because I want to see how you made the injection for AMD drivers. I got black screen after the last Catalina update. My Graphic Card is a RADEON VII

The update went fine for me but I lost sound which appears to be fairly common.
Resolved by downloading the latest ALC and Lilu kexts from ‘Downloads > Kexts’ and placing them on the desktop. Then I installed them using Kextbeast which you can get from ‘Downloads>tonymac downloads’. This resolved the issue for me and may work for you.
For info, I use onboard sound connected to external speakers so it may require additional work for those using sound from their monitor.

Thank you for your response. It helped me to get my audio working. :headbang:

I get it. In my case I do not have problems that I have not solved already, but a slight one, with the graphics, since the gradients and shadows are not rendered correctly, especially in the areas that have the effect of blur.

use -no_compat_check slide=0 in clover options if you want use too -v and wait near 6 minutes.

Hello, what is achieved by applying that flag?

Hello, what is achieved by applying that flag?
with those flags you could be able to boot right , so be careful and check your BIOS is right date and time. some times date and time get discontrolled at installing process and its a reason because installer don't complete task after first reboot or restart.

It's not Clover issue. It's UEFI drivers outdated.

Basically remove:

AppleImageCodec.efi
AppleImageLoader.efi
AppleKeyAggregator.efi
AppleUITheme.efi
AptioInputFix.efi
Ps2MouseDxe.efi
FirmwareVolume.efi
SMCHelper.efi

And add:

AppleGenericInput.efi
AppleUiSupport.efi
VirtualSmc.efi

Of course, replace FakeSMC kexts with VirtualSMC kexts.

I wasn't able to boot with Clover with FileVault so have been using OC but gave this a try and that was the fix - wow! thanks. I had to disable SIP to be able to install the latest Clover on Catalina.

Clover boot handles HiDPI. I tried various options of OC but never got HiDPI working.

Before your suggestion, I was getting stuck on the Apple Logo screen forever. Never got to the point like other people where there was a delay of 2-5 minutes.

After following your suggestion, I no longer get stuck on the Apple Logo screen, in fact it boots at the same speed as it used to on Mojave.
