The Nvidia GT440 is not supported!!!!
See the complete list of supported Nvidia cards here:

It works with AMD RADEON R9 290X. Needed to use the clover configurator but it works good.
what did you have to do in clover configurator for this card?Would R9 280X be same settings?

So, the MSI RX580 I ordered is too big for my motherboard (connectors in the way) and case (hdd cage in the way). Does anyone have any advice for a good, supported low-profile card that's no longer than 7 inches (17.8cm)?

RX 560

OK thanks, now to see who has a decent price on one. I can't believe how expensive 2-year-old mid-range graphics cards still are.
Prices are over inflated for new 560s. If you can find an RX 570 mini-itx size for less than the 560 it's a much better card. The 570s that size will likely need 6 pin power so make sure you can supply that somehow.

I just saw this article on Cult of Mac

Are these drivers to give GTX 10x0 cards Mojave / Catalina support?

Edit: OK, on checking them out they are for El Capitan support . . . LOL.

I can confirm MSI Radeon RX 560 4GB works OOB in MacOS Mojave 10.14.0. to 10.14.2 in my System with the latest Lilu.kext, WhateverGreen.kext in CLOVER/kexts/Other with NO config.plist _Devices or Graphics editing.
I'm trying to get this card setup in my system and I'm getting a reboot cycle after installing it. could you tell me how you got yours to work.
