The everything works Asus Z390-I Gaming * i7-8700K * SAPPHIRE NITRO+ Radeon RX Vega 64 Build

First post here, I want to thank ModMike for his dedication - having spent hours reading through almost every page, I had decided build my first ever hackintosh, and it works well.

I used the following parts and followed the guide on the 1st page and can confirm Mojave is working:

i7-9700k (on Noctua U9s with Grizzly Kryonaut)
Z390-I Strix (bios was 2401 out of the box
iGPU
Corsair 2400MHz 8GBx2 RAM
Crucial 250gb SSD
in a Streacom DA2 case.

Initially I used an ASUS nano AC53 dongle for WIFI, and it worked after installing the official drivers from Asus website (although they were built for High Sierra not Mojave) Then I ordered a DW1560 from a Chinese seller on eBay (was risky, I know) to replace the existing onboard inlet card. It was a bit fiddly and took 2-3 hours to get everything back in the case again. Luckily, I didn't need to take off the Noctua U9s cooler when I disassembled the VRM heatsink. (By pure luck, I mounted the cooler so the fan is attached at the bottom and blowing upwards, and it wasn't obstructing the VRM heatsink.) Booted, and worked straight away without having to do anything particular.

Some small nuances I would like to highlight:

- Sleep doesn't work properly. When it wakes up, the screen is black. is it because I'm using a HDMI connection??
- "About this Mac" shows my CPU an core i9.. even though I have i7-9700k
- Hardware monitors won't display any info apart from SSD temp. No fan speeds, no CPU/chipset temps whatsoever.
- Bluetooth range is a bit short. I need to keep my speaker literally within 50cm from the antenna

Have yet to try continuity/handoff. I will update once I do.

Are you try Airdrop and wifi connect 5GHz on DW1560 after installed?

-Sleep - same as myself with HDMI. Unplugging and replugging HDMI brought picture back most of the time. Using DisplayPort no issues.
-About - same as myself, i9 in Catalina, was i7 correctly before.
-I get GPU fan and temp as well. Not CPU temp or case fans.

See my post about this issue. Try to be connected to a 5GHz wifi and the range of your BT should increase. You can check level (dam) using "alt" when clicking on BT in the top menu

Another issue with Catalina - DRM-protected content is not working on Safari (e.g. Netflix). Tested changing to iMacPro but it did not help - and I lost Airdrop.

@ModMike I found the solution for the AURA light OFF on SLEEP.

Just set the setting LED LIGHNING - When system is in sleep, hibernate or soft off states to OFF.

All LEDs switch off properly when my goes into sleep mode. (Readon VII and AURA on ASUS 390Z-I). Works flawless for me!

@dasurpha

for your finalCut problem :) wanna hear the solution?

Go into the Boot menu, deactivate the iGPU Multimonitor thing. Main Monitor to PEG. Change the SMBIOS to MacPro1.1

I bought a build like this one, thank you!
Is better to install Catalina or Mojave?

Thanks, I thought iGPU can be active with MacPro but obviously not. :) (DRM I presume)
