Why not ? Many have used them successfully with macOS.

Great! I will read carefully whether I can expect my RX460 that does not work.

Edit:
Since the RX460 works with the HP 8100, I tried to see if it works with the HP 8300.
It worked normally. Since when it's body!

If you look at the MSI LP RX550 it says that it's using an RX480 GPU. Interesting. Makes it a much better card. Would also explain why it costs much more than any comparable RX550. There must be a major oversupply of RX480 chips that they couldn't sell so they put them into the "newer" 550s so people would buy them. Has anyone used this RX550 in their Hackintosh ? It must be a "cut down" version of the 480 chip to not need extra power but still looks interesting.

Edit:
The original question was that "AptioMemoryFix.efi" is empty and cannot be downloaded ".
Since it is included in Clover r5096, we will correct it.

I just wanted to express a big Thank You to all who have done the research making this possible. I'd heard about Hackintosh builds years ago but was too afraid to take the plunge. Then I saw the Snazzy Labs video doing a build with an HP6300. After peaking my interest I soon found the build threads here on TonyMac. Then the real kicker was that my maxed out 2011 iMac was not supported for Mojave. I started out with a HP 8300 i7 MT originally with an Nvidia 1050 Ti card but just recently swapped that for an RX560. All in all everything went smoothly for a working machine. There may be a few things I can improve upon as far as the installation but I am going to get a second SSD and completely re-do the install and then use one of them as a backup and tester for new versions of the OS. This build is very similar to where I was with the 2011 iMac but now I have a sweet 21X9 curved display with a matte screen :). Pretty happy that I went this route.

Very happy to hear that. It's really sad that new Mac prices have gone up and up the last 3-4 years. Eventually people will say enough is enough. The new Mac Pro starting at $6,000 for mediocre specs and Mac minis that start at $800 sends the message, "if you're not a wealthy professional user just get a 300 dollar iPad. We've gotten too big and too rich to care about you."

@trs96 (or anyone else who can answer)
I set up my 8300 with High Sierra using the Sniki method from this thread, and it has been super stable, with only minor issues (and for some weird reason no Sleep). I have a couple of software App updates that require minimum of Mojave. Is it possible to directly upgrade to Mojave, or is it necessary to start over?

If you followed the guide should be mostly uneventful. Do an in place upgrade from the App Store.

Excellent, thanks. I'll try on my cloned drive first, fingers crossed.

Update: I did a direct upgrade from High Sierra to Mojave, all seems fine so far (other than my continuing issue with sleep not working).

So for those of us who followed this guide, and (I am) currently running 10.14.6 is the proper way to update to 10.15 through the App Store? / If I wanted to do a clean install, can I download Catalina and run through the whole installer process with all the same programs that are used for Mojave?

I upgraded directly, but it completed successfully.

When restarting from the Clover menu, please start in Verpose mode so as not to forget the note of # 579.
In my case it took about 2 hours.

I would like to thank @Sniki again, "Thank you so much for the wonderful guide."
