macOS 10.15 Catalina is Now Available on the Mac App Store

Tried to install Catalina on my ASUS Maximus Gene VIII without SSDT-EC.aml and it got stuck at the installation. So, I added SSDT-EC.aml to my EFI folder and it worked.

However, sleep and wake doesn't work anymore.
I have an Z97X gaming 5 with I7-4790K and AMD RX580. Been actively installing new releases since 2014.
Everything seem to work on Catalina except for no wake. This is my first time I'm experiencing an issues in over 2 years.

Sleep seem to be working but computer does not wake and screen stays black. Any idea where to start looking ?

remove pls

Looks like you have similar specs to mine. I had issues with sleep in the past and gotten used to switching it off instead of sleep but I do remember sleep worked whenever I tried it in the past. Do you use Lilu and Whatevergreen? My rx580 works without them but I still use them now to avoid any issues that should arise. Ill try sleep a few times during the day and let you know mate!
Good luck!

Update: sleep didn't work on first try so same issue here (wakes with black screen) but like I said, I've gotten used to switching it off so I'm not in a hurry to fix this.

Success Update Catalina Asus Strix B360-I , I5-9400F with clover v2.5k r5070 Normal CPU freq.. Love it...

I have FileVault but haven't updated yet.

Your stuck at Apple logo maybe fixed by SSDT-EC in ACPI/patched. I'm curious to know if that works for you

Since clover didn't work, I tried OpenCore (OC). Found a working EFI @ https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...derbolt-3-i7-9700k-amd-rx-580.267551/page-517. The EFI is for z390 Designare but I compared Clover config to OC config and got it to work.

You cannot copy Clover config as is. There are differences.
Also, the newer version of OC didn't work so I reverted back to the version in zip.

I did my update directly from Mojave 10.14.6 Supplemental Update 2 two days ago. Upgrade was successful, but not as smooth as I hoped. I updated Clover from r4961 to r5070. I updated the kexts and added SSDT-ECUSBX.aml in Clover/ACPI/patched folder to resolve the apfs module start error. At first boot to Catalina, bluetooth was not available, so I added BrcmBluetoothInjector.kext in addition to BrcmFirmwareData.kext and BrcmPatchRAM2.kext in my Library/Extensions folder. Other than these two minor issues, everything else work so far.

Hi, tx for response. Yes i have Lilu and Whatevergreen. Also I have the on-board graphics HD4600 active for airplay. For that i have a dsdt patch. However i don't have a screen connected directly to HD4600 on board graphics. I'm wondering if that could be the root cause ? Thing is, it seems that my hack goes to sleep, however when wake using keyboard and mouse hardware seems to startup but both (2) screens connected to RX580 remains black.

successfully updated: SSDT-EC has done the trick.
It seems to be all working. BT, Ethernet, Audio.

During the update the screen went black for quote a while. I guess that during the update process the graphics did not load properly but the hack continued to do its job.

Hi, I upgrade from Mojave 10.14.6.

I had problems with my BCM4322 wifi card, searching other forums I found that I needed to use Mojave's IO80211Family.kext, so my wifi card worked perfectly.
