OK I started the download, waited for 2 hours to get the 6GB file.... when the App Store switched from saying "downloading" to "installing update", I closed the installer. I had trouble finding the file, but using a Terminal window and the "du -sh" command I eventually discovered the Update in a folder called /Library/Updates/061-21551.

There are five (5) files in this folder:

-rw-r--r--@ 1 root wheel 8720 Oct 8 09:31 061-21551.English.dist
-rw-r--r--@ 1 root wheel 678 Oct 8 09:31 061-21551.English.extraInfo
-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 11603307 Oct 8 09:31 InstallAssistantAuto.pkg
-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 5544742731 Oct 8 11:16 InstallESDDmg.pkg
-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 481976628 Oct 8 09:48 RecoveryHDMetaDmg.pkg

Can I use Unibeast to create my USB installation from one/all of these?

Thanks
Try downloading macOS Catalina from the App Store. You just won't be able to use Unibeast to create your USB. Use this guide instead:
How to Create a macOS Catalina Installation USB

Ok, I got it booted with Mojave. First thing to note is - I told Clover to NOT inject any graphics drivers at all. No nVidia, no Intel, nothing. Mojave is running just fine on the Intel HD2000 GPU in basic/generic SVGA mode 1280x1024.

On the other hand, Mojave did not recognize the motherboard network adapter... the HP manual says it’s an Intel 82579LM... do I need to load a special extension for that, or select some other option in Clover? Thanks.

In Multibeast for Mojave you select Intel Mausi Ethernet 2.4, the newest version and install that. Reboot and it should work. Don't select anything else in Multibeast.

Thanks, that did the trick!

Hmmm, audio isn’t working. I tried a couple things but still no luck. Any tips?

Try reinstalling the latest Lilu/WEG kexts to /L/E with kextbeast. Then run kext utility app to repair permissions and rebuild caches. If you were using VoodooHDA then remove that first. As well as appleHDAdisabler kext.

I got the audio working by adding a couple kext’s to the Clover kexts/others folder and by “injecting” the value of 12 in the HDA settings.. I can send more details if needed but I am good for now... thanks for all your great help!!!

Not with Mojave. You would need to spend a little more to get the GT 710 instead. If you want a Quadro K600 that will work but only has DP output, not HDMI. You'd need an adapter. Those sell for about $23 on Ebay. Make sure it is a K version and not a plain Quadro 600 which will not work.

The GT710 I ordered on Ebay showed up TODAY, that was really fast! I installed it with no problems, macOS recognized it on boot up and re-configured my display. Thanks for the advice. I am still using an old SVGA monitor I had in my garage, but I am getting 1600x900 out of it and graphics performance is plenty good for what I do.

Congratulations. I own one of those 710s and it does a good job for basic graphics. Never causes any sleep or wake problems, it just works. Not every hackintosh part is like that. I get 4K at 30Hz when connected to a 4K television for watching streamed 4K content. Very nice for the little bit of money I paid for it.

this is what I do, but not optimal. I have a CSR v4.0 dongle, but it keeps on disconnecting. Is there a particular driver to install?
