Ok. I got most things working. Sleep is a little wonky. The main actually only reason why I upgraded was for the sidecar feature. It will recognize my iPad but will not connect to it. Is this likely because I’m using a smbios that is a lot newer than my hardware??

help please!!!

Have you tried Duet Display? It doesn't need the newest iPad or the latest hardware to run it.

If anyone is expiriencing random freezes. What I did to fix it was disable the intel graphics and serial port. It fixed it fo me.

Everything went quick smooth (the update is done) but now I cannot go pass this loading screen and my computer keeps rebooting. It seems impossible to boot into recovery as well. Anyone has the same problem and is it still possible to fix it?

It is now fixed. I updated kexts, used SSDT-EC.aml and -disablegfxfirmware flag.

Once I renamed EC0 to EC, Catalina installed without complaint or issue. Took about 45 minutes.

Checked and deleted anything that was 32 bit, backed up Mojave, updated Clover and kext, then did the update. Took about 45 minutes. Everything is working smoothly.

* During the installation, after the first reboot I got black screens, what happens is that does not recognize the output of diplayport or hdmi of my RX580, I connected an old monitor with a DVI output and
I checked that I was still installing. after the upgrade completed everything was OK.
